not have dvd player before, now i bought external dvd player. but i can not burn any dvd, anything else i need to buy or download so i can burn dvd or anything else beside just data disc from wmp? thank you

my coworker did not buy medical coverage on the day when he was qualified for it, but now 1 year later he thought that he will need to have medical coverage. he went to ask for it but the company said that he can not have it now because he did not buy it back then. so now he must work and do not have medical coverage, can the company refuse him coverage that is my question. in case you wonder, we live in IOWA, thanks.
