Well let me explain everythnig first and please read the whole thing before answering.

I know this is alot of info but,

See my one roomate is a big T.V. watcher and he is willing to try Roku. He has a Roku 2 and a Roku SE. We are in the process of buying a house and they do not have Comcast or Centurylink Prism.

I have another roomate who is like me who does not watch much if any tv and he is a big downloader.

If he is downloading on the slow 6Mbps internet that the Roku would be running on would make T.V. watching unenjoyable for the T.V. roomate.

So if I got Directtv because the T.V. watching roomate like sports and local channels and live sporting events after a year with direct we would be paying roughly 290 a month for home phone, 2 dsl lines and tv, we already pay 12 for Hulu, 10 for wwe, and 5 for acorn tv. If we went with just Roku we would get 3 DSL lines and Hulu, WWE, acorn tv and Sling T.V. and a home phone and over 2 years save 1000 dollars.

I was wanting to use a FM2+ socket

I have an FM2+ motherboard but the onboard video does not work anymore.

Should I go for a new board? Also I need memory. I am basically just buying those 3 things I talked about right now as I do not have enough to get a GPU also right now.

What format if any do you have on your phone for music? .MP3? .FLAC? other? Why keep music in the cloud? do you know how long it takes me to send over 9GB of .FLAC to the cloud?

I have the software to make stereo MP3's into surround sound MP3's i also have a MP3HD encoder but can't figure out how to use it with EAC. As from what I can tell MP3HD has been abandoned and all development stopped. But i would like to confirm it. Why did these formats not survive?

When I play Shift 2 Unleashed the game is not fluid motion. I am thinking my CPU is the bottleneck. I want your thoughts, thank you.

i am looking for a program that i can use to rip my cd's into mp3's and have album art be automatically looked up for me. if i can get a program that can do it free that would help.

i only use this computer for older games that run on windows 98 SE like NFS 2, NFS 3.

I have a Compaq Presario 700US with 80GB HDD, one 128MB non removable ram and one 256MB stick of RAM. A AMD Duron 900MHz chip CD/DVD reader. It has performance xp on it now and if left runing too long it likes to lock up when i installed Ubuntu that didn't seem to happen. Maybe put win 95 or 98se. Everyone just give me your opinions on what to do with this laptop. I restored it.

I was looking in the questions and found that someone said a gt 530 was a extremely low end card so what do you call a GT 440 and they also had 3GB of ram which they said in their views was "dated" and they had a phenom II X4 and i have an original phenom X4
