What OS should i put on my 10 year old laptop?
I have a Compaq Presario 700US with 80GB HDD, one 128MB non removable ram and one 256MB stick of RAM. A AMD Duron 900MHz chip CD/DVD reader. It has performance xp on it now and if left runing too long it likes to lock up when i installed Ubuntu that didn't seem to happen. Maybe put win 95 or 98se. Everyone just give me your opinions on what to do with this laptop. I restored it.

8 years is approximately 2 cases the existence expectancy for many laptops. whether you need to have it refurbished- the fee must be better advantageous spent on a sparkling one with a modern working gadget and larger reminiscence and storage. the fee of laptops is frequently coming down. you will desire to purchase a good one for $4 hundred- and an exceedingly super one for $a million,000. it rather is plenty better advantageous than you will likely desire to do 8 years in the previous for a matching value.
