  • In Tiger Woods PGA Tour '09 All-Play, is there a trick to maximizing the drive every time?

I'm talking about using standard or advance controls. Also, not just getting 110%, but getting that "zoom-in" extra power animation thingy.

  • Is there a way to find out what yahoo!group has the most posts, members, post per members, etc.?

I am in a small group with a bunch of friends, and one of them is convinced we post more than any other group. I know it's dorky, but I was just wondering if there was a way to find out.

  • How do you order your shrimp poboy?

I order mine: dressed, add ketchup and hot sauce. I've been in a debate with a fellow New Orleanian for years over whether or not this is acceptable. He says real New Orleanians don't put ketchup on their shrimp poboys. I say he's confused.

I know I didn't come up with this on my own; it's the way I've always ordered it. I apparently saw it being done like this at a very young age--by who, I don't remember--and have been ordering it this way ever since.

    What do you say?

  • What's a hip/trendy and good--and hopefully somewhat romantic--restaurant for Valentine's Day in Baton Rouge?

The young lady I'm seeing lives in Baton Rouge, and I'd like to surprise her with a place she would be into for Valentine's Day. Normally a restaurant's atmosphere would do nothing for me, and it'd be all about the food, but I know it's not me I'm trying to impress here. And as long as the food is decent to pretty good, I know if the place is really cool she would enjoy it immensely.

Please don't say Tsunami, because they're already booked up, and I'm hoping I can get a reservation somewhere else. Cuisine is not an issue, I think she's up for anything.

  • What is the deal with all of these free video game console sites?

    Nothing in life is free.

I'm even hearing ads on the radio now for these internet sites you can go to and they will send you XBOX 360s or Wiis for free. How do they do this? Or more importantly, how are they doing this legally? Because I know, for a fact, that if a company is going to give me a console worth $250-$500, then they are going to get that dollar value -- and then some -- out of me, one way or the other.

  • Has anyone seen the anime film "X", and if so, what did you think of it?

It took me a while to get into it, because it's so confusing at first. Like, it wasn't until halfway into the movie that all the plot setup was finally done. I guess this is because it's based off of a fairly long manga, and they had to cut out lots of story.

And actually, even though I kind of liked it, the movie stands by itself with alot of unanswered questions, IMHO.

  • Where is the best Thai food in New Orleans (and metro area)?

Please provide a little description with your answers, especially your favorite dishes.

Personally, I'm a big fan of all the curries: red, green, panang. And I used to love the pad thai at Bangkok Cuisine by Rock N Bowl.

Lately, I've had some Thai Chili in Mandeville, Siamese Thai in Metairie, Bangkok Thai at the riverbend. Haven't eaten there in a while, but have never had anything good from Basil Leaf. How good is La Thai Cuisine on Metairie Rd?

  • Has anyone ever heard of an Atlanta restaurant that served sandwiches on "flowerpot" bread?

I used to live in Atlanta years ago, and I went to this restaurant a couple of times. It was a very casual place, and the food was cafe fare like burgers, sandwiches, fries, chicken fingers, etc. They baked what they called "flowerpot bread": a tasty homemade roll baked in a small clay flowerpot. And I believe most of their sandwiches were served on said bread.

I remember the restaurant was on a busy street (maybe four-lane), maybe like 10th, or Piedmont, or Morningside?, and had mostly outdoor seating. Also, sides like fries and what-not were served in huge overflowing baskets.

If any of this sounds familiar, please help me out with a name and location -- and also let me know if it's still around. If some of the info I've provided doesn't jive, the "flowerpot bread" was the main thing I remember (if I'm even remembering the name correctly).

    Thanks for the help.

  • Can someone explain some of the plot points of the new Transformers movie to me?

    1. Is Megatron going to be an active character in the movie -- or is he just frozen in the ice -- and if so, does he transform into a gun?

    2. Will Optimus Prime have a trailer that just dissapears when he wants it to (like in the cartoon)?

    3. How do these alien robots take the forms of human machines? Do they come down here and rebuild themselves into helicopters/cars/whatevers?

Maybe some of you know something, or maybe these questions can spark some conversation. I have tons of more questions, but these are the basic ones. I am deathly afraid that with making this a serious action movie, the premise will fall beyond the realm of suspension of disbelief and squarely in the middle of camp-ville.

  • What determines the quality of an ending in "La Pucelle: Tactics" for PS2?

I ask, because, I've gotten to Chapter 4, and so far have had 2 "Good Endings" & 1 "Bad Ending". In fact, the chapter I got the "Bad Ending" on, I thought I had done the best. What determines what ending you get?

  • What's the nutmeg for?

I made a couple of lasagnas last week, and I noticed that in most of the recipes I looked at, nutmeg was an ingredient. Usually it was called for to be mixed in with the ricotta. I also see that alot of people use it in alfredo sauces.

My question is: what does the nutmeg do? I decided that it was such a small amount -- that any of the recipes called for -- to just forego it. I've never used it in my alfredo recipes, and I think my lasagnas tasted great without it. In fact, the only time I've ever used nutmeg before was when I baked pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving. What exactly the flavor or purpose of the nutmeg?

  • Why is there so much talk of Hindi and Bollywood films on this site?

Is this industry becoming really big, or is it just that alot of users on here are Indian and speak English? I'm not asking because I dislike the movies, it's that I really don't know anything about them? Are these movies shown in theaters in the United States? I know occasionally I'll see a movie at the video store or on TV like the movie "Bollywood/Hollywood", but that's really a Candian Movie, is it not?

I guess what I'm asking is this, I don't see tons of questions about Spanish movies, or German movies, or Japanese movies, only occasional ones. What is with the obviously numerous questions about Hindi movies and actors?

  • What is the name of the song in Kill Bill Vol. 1?

The one where we see Oren Ishii walking with her lackeys -- you know, it cuts in with like a <boom> <boom> <boom> -- and there are jump cuts on them to coincide with the beat. I think this is the scene where they're all walking into the House of Blue Leaves (is that what it was called?).

  • What flavor is missing from my Dots?

So, I picked up a box of "Dots" candies - you know, the gumdrops - and something seems to be missing. Didn't there used to be 6 different flavors in the box? Now there's just 5: cherry, orange, lemon, lime, and strawberry.

  • Any tips for Urban Cougar hunting?

I posted a similar question in the New Orleans section of travel, but can't get any help. Thinking of going on an Urban Cougar Safari this weekend, and wanted some recommendations on where I could spot some.

  • Any tips for an Urban Cougar safari this weekend?

Thinking about hunting some Urban Cougar this weekend in and/or around the city. From my internet research, it seems that hotel bars are definitely the best starting point. Anyone have any recommendations on particular bars - or another option I may have overlooked?

  • Does anyone know what pastry treat I'm talking about?

I had always called these things "elephant ears", but someone brought some in to work this morning, and they said they were called "prussians" (sp?). I looked up on wikipedia what elephant ears were, and I'm obviously wrong.

Anyways, I think it's considered a pastry, it's a treat that looks like it starts off as one long strip of dough and it's wrapped up and laid flat resembling kind of a heart shape (only without the point at the bottom). It's only delicately sugared - not iced - and baked to an almost crunchy or crusty consitency. It's very airy and not too sweet. If anyone know what I'm talking about, can you tell me what it's called and maybe send me a link with a pic. Thank you.

  • Do either of the two Zelda games on Gamecube play in widescreen when set to progressive scan?

This question is directed towards gamecube owners who have the component cable and HDTVs. I guess it could also apply to Wii owners who have component cables and have played one of these two games on the Wii (and for those of you who want to be technical, the two Zelda games I'm referring to are 'Windwaker' and 'Twilight Princess' for the Gamecube).

The reason I ask, is because I know some games like Metroid Prime switch over to a widescreen format when you set it to play in progressive scan on a widescreen HDTV. But I heard the new Zelda - Twilight Princess - does not do this, even though it does support progressive scan.

Can any fellow Nintendorks answer this question for me?

  • Have you ever eaten at Pavone's Pizza?

I don't know if they have any locations in the city, they might just be upstate. But if you have eaten there, can you describe the pizza and give your opinion on it?
