Where is the best Thai food in New Orleans (and metro area)?
Please provide a little description with your answers, especially your favorite dishes.
Personally, I'm a big fan of all the curries: red, green, panang. And I used to love the pad thai at Bangkok Cuisine by Rock N Bowl.
Lately, I've had some Thai Chili in Mandeville, Siamese Thai in Metairie, Bangkok Thai at the riverbend. Haven't eaten there in a while, but have never had anything good from Basil Leaf. How good is La Thai Cuisine on Metairie Rd?

La thai has great food My husband and I eat there quite often. Good food and excellent service you cant ask for more than that. The owner/chef of La Thai is the same family as Bankok Cuisine. I like the phat thai there and my husband raves about the mossaman curry. Also the chiliean seabass is excellent there.

saying that New Orleans is the only city it somewhat is stupid for being on the brink of the gulf is ridiculous...0.5 of Florida is interior the gulf....Alabama Mississippi and Texas all border it...ya new orleans is decrease than sea point yet do you extremely think of the 1st people who went there and outfitted the city knew that?? no...as quickly as a city is outfitted people are going to stay there...ya it somewhat is been destroyed...and rebuilt and who is familiar with what ought to ensue this time..even regardless of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is a similar with the different place...if someplace else interior the worldwide receives hit by a twister or regardless of else can bypass incorrect with nature people rebuild provided that's what they understand and that's the place they stay..you cant ask 3 hundred some thousand people to stand up and bypass away using fact it somewhat is hazardous in new orleans...the place could you like them to bypass...actually...there is no way a city of this length can in basic terms be closed down and grow to be a ghost city...stay in Seattle....thats advantageous...yet dont start up telling poeple the place they stay is a waste of money and time...if some thing handed off to the place you reside which you couldnt administration wouldnt you prefer help no be counted what the later issues must be??

When I commute to the city (I live on the Northshore), I eat at Singha Thai Cafe at 413 Carondelet Street. The restaurant has amazing food at affordable prices. I usually get the curry or beef dishes, but I've liked everything I've tried there. The service was also great as well.

I went to the one on Vets. in Metairie near N.O. Hamb. & Seafood, and their rice was awful, just plain with tons of black pepper, no other flavor. I couldn't even eat anything I was served. My husband, who loves spicy food, couldn't eat either. Blech!
