Hi, I'm 23.

  • How to get rid of hair on stomach!?

So I made the stupid mistake about 6 years ago of shaving my happy trail (because it had gotten super dark) and I've been having to deal with the ingrown hairs and plucking ever since then. A few days ago, I decided to stop plucking and just let the hair grow. I think it's an ethnicity thing (not a hormone thing, I've been tested). I'm white with ash blond hair, but my eyebrows are super dark and thick (I'm a small part Jewish and possibly Central European).

Now my real question is: how do I completely get rid of the hairs, or fade them? I won't use a regular razor again, but I've got some hair removal cream, an electric shaver (Braun I think), or waxing (which I've never done. I keep hearing people get ingrown hairs?). I don't want to use bleach, because then the roots will just come back dark anyway.

  • Help! European cider name?

A few years ago, I was in France, and had this cider called Apple Crisp. I'm 99.9% sure that's that correct name. Does anyone know of this name? Or did I just make it up?

  • How to improve my skin routine (and what's yours?)?

So I need some help I think. I feel like I'm not doing enough to cleanse my skin. I'm 21, and I've got blackheads on my nose, kind of large pores around my nose, and acne scarring on my lower cheeks which is fading. I don't really break out anymore.

    Here's my routine:

    MORNING

Rinse my face with water in the shower (which is pretty hot) then apply Cetaphil moisturizer while my face is still damp. I KNOW I should use sunscreen but I always forget.

    NIGHT

I usually just wash my face with warm water and wipe of my makeup with a tissue, then dampen my face again and use the Cetaphil again.

About twice a week I use that St Ives exfoliator lotion.

For my makeup, I use two Covergirl products: Fresh Complexion Pocket Powder and Invisible Concealer for really red/dark spots. I try to drink as much water as I can and to eat more healthily.

Is this a good routine? Should I update it? And what's yours, like which products do you use etc?

  • Sour smelling, yellowish discharge?

This has never happened to me before, and I've been looking through the answers on here, but I haven't found anything that matches what I have.

Just today I noticed a yellowish discharge in my underwear. It's not chunky (I heard a yeast infection is supposed to be more like cottage cheese), but more like mucous and it smells awful (really sour, like strong vinegar). There is no itching, no burning. It's not painful in any way. But I've been having the tiniest amount of pain in the bladder region, kind of like when your bladder is too full. But I don't need to pee more than usual (don't bladder infections do that?)

I'm on the pill and my period ended last Saturday. It's always been irregular so maybe this whole thing is just hormonal?

  • When to start using eye cream, and what's the best brand?

I'm 20, and figured I should probably start using eye cream sometime soon. Is Olay any good? I use Cetaphil's sunscreen every day. Does Cetaphil have an eye cream?

  • Best beauty inventions?

In you opinion, what are some beauty "inventions" that you find really really useful and that you're glad someone came up with?

For me it would have to be:

    - tweezers (definitely!! haha)

    - bobby pins (esp. the ones that match your hair)

    - Q-tips

    - hair ties (esp. the small transparent ones)

  • does anybody remember this advert?

OK, so I asked this same question 3 years ago (!) and didn't really get an answer.

The ad I'm talking about is probably a credit card ad. Basically, this couple walks up to pay for their hotel, and the receptionnist asks if they enjoyed their stay and if they used any of the hotel conveniences (like the mini-bar, etc), and after each reply, she enters the cost. Next she asks "Did you enjoy the sunset?" and the couple, who think it's a random question, says yes, and the receptionist enters the price of that. At the end, she asks "Can I staple this for you?" and of course, the couple immediately says no.

    Does anyone remember this ad??

  • College algebra math homework?

Can someone help me with this? I keep coming up with the answer 124, when the book says it's 10.

"You are riding along an expressway traveling x miles per hour. The formula

    S = 0.015x^2 + x +10

models the recommended safe distance, S, in feet, between your car and other cars on the expressway. What is the recommended safe distance when your speed is 60 miles per hour?"

    Don't I just replace all the x's with 60?

  • Homemade chamomile hair rinse?

I just bought a cheap box of chamomile tea with 20 bags in it to make a rinse for my blonde hair. I've heard that I need to boil the tea in an enamel pot, but I don't know how many bags I should use or how much water I should boil.

Also I heard that you can pour the tea into a shampoo bottle, but won't that make the shampoo really watery and soapy?

If anyone has any other ideas please let me know!

  • Possible sun breakout and sunscreen allergy?

Two days ago, the lower part of my right cheek broke out (even though i wear sunscreen everyday), probably due to bicycling in the sun and now it's starting to peel. This happened to me about a month ago as well in the same area, but i drank tons of water and it went away.

Could it be the sun screen i've been using? it's Neutrogena Healthy Defense with SPF 45 (kind of high, i know). It says it won't clog pores, but now i don't know. I've been using it for about 2 months straight and never had a problem.

What is a better moisturizer that has sun protection in it and that won't make me break out?
