5 AnswersAdd-ons7 years agoCan I get a points type distributor for a 1.6 litre Suzuki car motor?
I have installed a 1989 1.6 Suzuki motor in my air boat and I have had some trouble with it. We had to bypass the computer and engineer a carburetor mount for it and that part works very well. I do however have recurring problems with the distributor; I would like to find one that uses the old style breaker points instead of the electronic ignition.
I can't find one online but was wondering if the distributor from the 1.3 liter might work as it is a little older and may have breaker points. Thanks Glenn
2 AnswersSuzuki7 years agoI have a small air boat that will not run when wet?
This boat has a 4 cyl Suzuki motor on it and is lots of fun to ride in, but it will not run if even a slight drizzle should fall. It is totally useless when the motor gets wet.
Is there some way I can water proof the electrical system, thanks Glenn

2 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agocannot burn a music cd, my player says that every cd I insert has only 26.47 free of 80 mins.?
I haven't had this problem before, but now every cd I insert gives me the same message and tells me to insert an empty cd.
I think that it is confusing the time that will be free after the burn, but why is this happening?
Thanks Glenn

4 AnswersSecurity10 years agoMy son has a 1997 s10 blazer that is really hard to start?
He has installed a new crankshaft position sensor and a new throttle position sensor, new plugs and wires, a new coil and nothing seems to help.
It has been checked with a scan tool and no trouble codes were present.
It is only hard to start the first time each day, after that it starts easy. The fuel pressure has also been checked, and was ok

2 AnswersDesktops1 decade ago1994 Ford Tauraus still acting up?
I had the alternator checked and it was ok, but now the car engine is stalling even with the ac turned off.
I'm now thinking it may be a relay that maybe controlls both the ac and the fuel pump, or perhaps the junction box where they are located? Thanks Glenn
1 AnswerFord1 decade agoelectrical problem with 1994 Ford Taurus?
My car has developed a problem, When I turn on the A/C or the defroster the engine dies as if I had turned off the ignition. I thought it may be the battery but replacing it didn't help.
I first thought the A/C was pulling too much voltage from the battery and shutting the ecm down, but the lights and other electrical loads do not effect the engine at all.
I've been told it may be the alternator but I thought a new battery would solve the problem at least for a few minutes, but it did not. The engine will run with the battery cables disconnected as long as the A/C switch is turned off, so I don't thing the alternator is the problem.
I'm in Houston Tx on work but must get home to Alabama on Thursday that's a long drive when the a/c is working and going to be much worse without it. Thanks Glenn
3 AnswersFord1 decade agoWho actually manufactures the Springfield XDM pistol?
I had assumed that it was made by Springfield Armory here in the US but now I have noticed them listed as the importer of the gun.
I finally read an article in Guns and Ammo where I saw the reference to the importer.
I'm a little suspicious about the gun because I've never seen a product pushed by the amount of advertising as this one is.
Do any of you have this gun and is it worthy of the coverage it gets in the gun rags.

1 AnswerBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agoI need help with granite or marble. I need a tool that will chip or cut pockets into the stone.?
I have a project where I must open and reshape some pockets that are cut into stone. The pockets are approx. 2"high x 4" wide and 6"deep. They were cut with a star drill and mallet back in 1910, and as so are not cut accurately enough.
I must square the top of the pockets where they are now tapered at a downward angle due to a ledge that prevented the worker from achieving the proper angle with his drill.
What I need is a pneumatic hammer and some carbide chisels that will work in a tight location.
I can't seem to find the tools that will serve my needs, Thanks Glenn
