  • Song in Hustle's Last Ep?

I'm trying to find info on a song from the final episode of Hustle. It's about 20 minutes in or so, when Emma is getting into the office where they are going to set up. Thanks.

  • Do Cole Haan men's shoes run true to size?

I was looking at buying a pair since I don't want to drop the money for the pair of Mezlan's I want, and I found what I was looking for on eBay on the cheap but I'm reluctant to buy from there if I don't know how they run in terms of size. Has anyone had experience with this brand? Thanks.

  • Will disconnecting the battery to shut off the check engine light affect anything else?

I currently have a 2008 Impala and as the question suggests I have a check engine light on. In the past if I had this problem I would do the old unhook the battery trick but this is a much newer car than I've ever had and it's like driving a computer with an exhaust pipe. I'm worried about doing something to screw with the digital odometer if I try this, I'm not even sure it would work given how computerized it all is (I half expect there to be some failsafe to keep me from doing it). Any insight into this would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Can I raise my credit score from 640 from 630 by the end of the year?

By December/January, my credit union will hopefully be willing to give me a new car loan if I maintain good payments. A month after they told me this I paid off all my bad debt left over from job problems and then moving to another state for a better job. All I have left is my student loans which I can easily start paying when they kick in next month and one low-limit credit card which I am using for one tank of gas a month. So I think I'm doing everything right, my life is finally on track, and getting the car I want is the last piece of the puzzle. Those last 10 points will probably mean a slam dunk for the loan, and at least put me into a better interest rate bracket according to the banks information. So is there anything that will help by the end of the year beyond just keeping my one card balance low and paid and paying my student loans? Will opening another low-limit credit card help or hurt?

  • Can You Abuse Pills By Rubbing Them On The Skin?

I recently heard a rumor that someone was licking pills, possibly opiates, and rubbing the moistened pills on the skin for trans-dermal absorption. I've never heard of this and I can't find anything on it. I even checked with a 10 year veteran of drug and alcohol treatment who never heard of this. Is this just a overzealous reporter is or this something new?

  • Comparing Food Prices?

Are there any websites that compare average food prices in the United States?

I realize that there have been long standing differences in food cost inflation and general costs based on geographic areas, but I find it interesting that in the two years since I moved just an hour away from my hometown the cost of the coffee I drink has gone up less than a dollar a bag back home as opposed to over two dollars more a bag where I am currently living.

We hear a lot about the cost of food going up because of the cost of fuel, but how has it affected areas like California which has a lot of growth in produce but skyrocketing fuel costs?

  • Intel E7200 and ASUS P5GC-MX/1333?

The Intel website lists the E7200 compable with chipsets G31/33/35, P35, Q35, X38/48, but the ASUS website indicates that the P5GC-MX/1333 (with a 945GC chipset) IS compatable with the E7200. I'd love to get these together, I want to build a budget system that will last a few years (like my current, been running this Celeron 2.4 GHz for almost 4 years and only paid about $150 for the CPU/MoBo combo). Who should I believe though, ASUS or Intel?

  • Mid-Range GeForce Video Card Suggestions?

    Hi all!

Once again I am endeavoring to build a new system. I've got everything set up, and I've cannabilized my old system as much as possible. My new system lacks one last thing: a new video card. My old system was running a GeForce 6200, and I'm feeling pretty comfortable sticking with GeForce. Now most of my gamer friends laugh at this because unlike most PC gamers out there, I am strickly a "casual gamer". In other words, I have no qualms about turning my graphics all the way down and setting my res to 800x600 (I know, blasphemy!). I'm running some games like this from 2007 no problems, but I want to make sure when I buy a new card it's not pure junk, I want to get at least a couple years out of it (had the 6200 going on 2.5 years now I think). I'm guessing a GeForce 8xxx series will last me quite a while, but I'd like to spend in the $50-75 or less on NewEgg if possible. Suggestions?

  • On Average, How Long Does The Federal Hiring Process Take?

I've put applications in for several Federal job, a couple State, and one private. The private agency has already called me for an interview but the Federal jobs close this week and next week. I'm leaning towards the private job because I plan on going back to school for my PhD but I need to make some more money in the meantime, but I'd prefer to work for the gov't and the pay and job trypes are LOTS better. I'd just hate to take one job, start it, then jump ship, just to leave a year later.

  • T-Score Distribution?

I'm trying to find a sensitive enough calculation for a t-score I generated with some recent data from research I'm conducting. The most sensitive chart I can find only goes to the 0.0005 level, so I know I have significance, but just for my own kicks I'm curious how low it really goes.

If anyone wants to take a stab, t(52) = 10.481.

  • Sundance Vacations Free Gift Vacation?

I had recently entered a drawing for a new SUV or $50,000. I was later contacted by a rep and was told I was chosen for a 3 day 2 night vacation. I knew I was going to get a sales pitch, managed through that, and I got my voucher. I was doing some research to see if the free trip was legit, and I've seen very, very little regarding the free vacation. Aparently their past promotions have been underclassed, and the few things I've seen about this free vacation says that the nights are not consecutive. Can anyone shed some light on their practices (or the practices of the company they contract with) in this respect?

  • What's a dollar worth to you?

The area I come from originally is a rather finacially depressed. Living is cheap, but most there people struggle. When I was living at home, I was always giving money to my family (both myself and my parents working f/t, plus I was in grad school so not much of a life anyway). Im always one to give someone a spare couple dollars out of my pocket, even complete strangers, despite my scruples about what they are going to be used for. I always ask myself, whats a dollar worth to me when these people have nothing? Now I find the tables turned. I'm early in my career & in a job that barely pays to rent a small apt and buy decent meals, which is fine, but I also have to watch my family suffer, esp now that my father is retired. I look forward to helping them out again, and I thought about this website years ago where someone ask for a dollar for each visitor, it was a huge success to the person. I thought of doing that here, but I expected only ridicule. So I wonder, whats $1 worth to you?

  • What Is The Relation Between Tenacity and Passion?

I argue that passion need not be mutually exclusice from tenacity, rather passion can inspire us to be tenacious in the face of adversity, and in turn create a cyclical pattern to re-inspire our passion from tenacity and our tenacity from our passion.

I am currently faced with a counter-argument that tenacity is a far more long-lasting experience that it cannot be sustained by the volitility of passion.

I'm just curious what anyone has to chime in on this one with.

  • Levaquin and Kidney Stones?

My doctor's nurse practitioner recently put me on levaquin for a sinus infection w/ bacterial tonsillitis. Before this I was on Azithromycin and it helped, but didn't know it out. When I got home I started doing some research and I see this allusions to kidney stones but not a lot on prevalence. What concerns me is that I am a very big coffee drinker and even though I've been light on the coffee these last 2 weeks and drink plenty of water anyway (because I know what happens if you don't) that I may have some predisposition to urinary crystalization.

Other than drinking water like a fish is there any other way (home based or OTC) that can help with this and am I at higher risk, despite my drinking only 1-2 cups of coffee daily now, for stones?

  • Best Software for Midi Rendering?

I have been out of the digital music production loop for a while. Back in the day, when I was working on an orchestrated project I would use WinGroove, this is going back maybe 7-8 years. Everything I've done since then has been live music related, but I just took on a project that isn't demanding top top top quality, but I am a bit OCD with my music. Actually composing and recording isn't the problem, but I'm trying to find the best software to use for playback.. Right now I am borrowing a copy of Finale from a friend in music school, but I am not happy with some of the higher notes on brasses and strings.

Any suggestions? I've had my eye on Cakewalk Sonar and Cubase (oh yeah, I know nothing about changing library patches or modifying/sampling the actual sounds of instruments beyond program tools).

  • Defamation of Character Question?

I work in drug and alcohol counseling services as part of county human services. One of my duties is to assist with aftercare for the county jail. We have a religous based outreach group in our area which does work in the jail as well with ex-inmate. A new client of mine asked if she could continue her counseling (mandated by parole) with one of the leaders of this group (no formal education or licensure, not an actual counseling practice). The next week she came back saying that because she was not able to make one of the bible studies because of child care issues this individual went to my client's parole officer and employer stating that she had relapsed, when in fact she did not. I did some checking up and this org has some fairly extremist attitudes. Would this be a valid defamation issue, no one is looking at prosecuting but I would like her to have something to hold over this individual's head incase it happens again.

  • New to the area, how can I find good places to take a date?

I'm now 25 and just started dating after finishing grad school and moving to a new area. The girl I met is originally from this area, but was away for the last 7 years. There's not a whole lot around here from what I've seen, but I'm so used to knowing where everything is, I feel out of my element not know where to go and I don't want to keep asking her for suggestions or going to the same places.

Any good ways of finding places to go?

  • 20s+ only please. How to start over.?

It's going on 4 years since I've been involved with anyone, and it took me quite a while to get over my last relationship (made the mistake of getting involved with my best friend, just happens to be a gorgeous girl). Recently I've been wanting to get back into dating, but I feel so out of the loop. I've been using grad school as an excuse, but I just finished my Master's and am taking some time off before getting my PhD. I just moved to a little town in the middle of nowhere with just a couple crappy bars (I'm not a bar-guy anyway) and a couple little cafes and coffee shops. For a while I thought I was happy focusing on my career, but now I know that I was trying to hide my hurt and my fear. I haven't actually met anyone yet, but being that I haven't tried to engage anyone since I was 19/20 and I'm 25 now, I don't want to make a fool out of myself.

    Serious advice only please.
