I am a 72 yr. old retired educator who enjoys research. I research the shadow government of the USA and have for over 30 years as well as many other subject areas. I enjoy photography and travel. Expect my answers to be direct; usually with references that, when read, support my stand. I do not follow the crowd and am usually quite controversal in my answers. Don't expect simple emotional answers from me. I seldom say anything without reason and often requires thought on the readers part.

  • Age of consent laws are out of date?

With regards of the fact that children are engaging in sexual activities of one kind or another at much younger ages, often 12 years and younger, do you believe the age of consent should be reduced to age 12 nationally with no age differential limitations of any kind?

I ask this question because many teens are engaging in sexual activities. The way most laws are currently stated one or both can be held criminally liable and be sent to jail or prison for engaging in sex. For instance an 18 year old boy dating a 16 year old girl, not uncommon at all, can be arrested and charged with statutory rape for even dating the girl the way the laws are currently written. Girls in general prefer to date boys 1 to 3 years older than themselves thus making the boy a criminal. This is compounded should a 17 year old girl date and engage in sexual activity with a boy 19 years old or older.

  • Why should an answer be removed because of thumbs down?

I am sure others have had this happen as well. To remove an answer because some one disagrees with it is censorship and should not be allowed. I agree some answers are dumber than the question asked but they sould not be removed because of the number of thumbs down it receives.

Americans demand their freedom of speech rights and this is in violation of free speech!

Why do you limit free speech Yahoo answers team? But of course you violate your own rules of conduct all the time so why should this be any different?

I say let all answers stand and not remove them and I realize some are pretty bad but don't censor!

  • What is your opinion of the following statement?

There is an age restriction clause that states a child under the age of 13 must have a “Family account” that certifies that there is an adult supervising the child. From some of the questions asked by younger children I do not believe the YAT enforces this ruling.

    Under “Content & Usage” abuse of item 1. a. through j. & 3 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Content & Usage Item 4 states no gaming for points yet encourages everyone to score points recognizing top runners.

Why should anyone be removed from or loose their ID on Yahoo Answers when the Yahoo Answer Team constantly violates of their own guidelines? Yahoo Answers is a world wide forum, what federal, state, or local laws are involved here? What is law in one country may not be law in another. I have asked for a Universal world wide definition of morals because moral practices vary from country to country. The YAT either refuses or cannot give me a definition that will suit the morals of every country in the world that has access to Yahoo Answers.

  • Who the heck is "The Questioner"?

I see a number of questions now that have been removed by the "questioner". Just who or whom is it that does so.

I realize that most of the questions involve something to do with sex. Some get pretty ranchy but why all the censorship? Isn't this an open forum and world wide?

I have asked this question about moral values before and no one seems to be able to give me a good answer. Moral values are different in different parts of the world and one must make up their own minds as to what is right or wrong in their own minds...why must someone impose their moral values on everyone else?

I am looking for a good answer...not a bunch of religious platitudes.

  • Should Yahoo answers block a web site because they or someone disagrees with the content?

I used to use a Christian Based web site for reference when answering questions. Some areas are considered by some to be too liberal in sexuality preferences. Yahoo answers has blocked this web page and it cannot be sited in any answers.

I thought this was an open forum but they reserve the right to censor and block answers when they cannot give a universal definition of "morals". The rely on the narrowness of American religious beliefs.
