Who the heck is "The Questioner"?

I see a number of questions now that have been removed by the "questioner". Just who or whom is it that does so.

I realize that most of the questions involve something to do with sex. Some get pretty ranchy but why all the censorship? Isn't this an open forum and world wide?

I have asked this question about moral values before and no one seems to be able to give me a good answer. Moral values are different in different parts of the world and one must make up their own minds as to what is right or wrong in their own minds...why must someone impose their moral values on everyone else?

I am looking for a good answer...not a bunch of religious platitudes.

Update:

I agree with what many of you have said about children, but I have seen worse questions left on that are very explicit in nature.

I lost all my email addresses and emails because someone claimed I was profane, yet I have never used a single word that was profane and back up most of my answers with a reference.

I do not buy entirely the child protection thing...If that is the problem then 95% of the questions on here should be banned or parents should keep their children away from this site. By allowing children to have ready acess tells me that parents approve or don't care what their children are doing.

The questioner is the person who asked the question - they removed it themselves. They may have realized they didn't want to post it - it's not a Yahoo conspiracy. Other than that, questions that are removed by Yahoo are removed because people have complained via the 'report abuse' function. This may be the world wide web but it is an open forum that is accesible by children and those who want to ask questions that are innapropriate to children should go use an adult oriented site.

It's not so much the moral values being enforced on this site, but common decency. Have you noticed how many questions are posted by children? They don't need to be exposed to impropper behavior like that, even if they are often the offender.

The person who asked deleted it, some may delete because they got offended by answers, others may have made a mistake and wanted to correct it. I was answering a question earlier, it went to preview and the questioner had removed it.

The only thing I have to say is when you have kids move in next to a child molester and let him babysit your kids. You'll find out why we had a problem with the questions that were being posted on here.

The issue is not censorship. The "questioner" is the person who originally asked the question, but decided to pull the question from any or further consideration.

Alot of times the person who posted the question will go back and see what they asked and realize it's either silly, disgusting or just plain dumb and they will remove/delete it themselves.

Yeah, what they said-- besides, there are kids on here. Are you trying to corrupt them?
