I went to the church office to get some help with my light bill, but they said I had to fill out a form. I don't have the time for that and it seems very personal. I just need like, 80 bucks. Is that so wrong?

I'm giving cash because I don't have a checking account. I asked for a receipt and the guy passing the plate got very defensive. I did visit the church financial officer, but she refused to receipt me because it was in cash. Is there another way to tithe, yet still get the tax break?

He fussed at me for accidentally breaking wind during communion. I want to get him back, but I don't want to commit a sin against God. My last confession, I intentionally passed so much gas in the confessional both that he had to leave before we were done. I thought that was a little rude.

I keep passing gas (loudly) when I kneel for communion. The priest told me I had to do something about it, but he won't serve me the sacrament if I'm standing! !

I have six or seven hundred dollars to spend. I know that is just a drop in the bucket, but it is what it is. There are many brands in that range. I am buying this for an adult beginner who will upgrade later.

It seems that if you really believed that the holiday is for the birth of Jesus, you would stick to that and skip Santa, trees, gift giving, etc. etc. Don't tell me those things are connected to Jesus. That is a HUGE stretch.

Without all the commercialism and secularism, Christmas would rank behind Halloween and Easter on holidays. I've heard "Jesus is the reason for the season" a million times, but I disagree. Even the date is stolen from the pagans.

It doesn't make sense. If God created everything, he created sin, bee stings, monkeys with swollen butts, Downs Syndrome, cleft pallette, the New York Yankees, snake bites, poison ivy, cocaine, heroin, gas pains, ear aches, body odor, sweat, headaches, animals violently eating other animals, drowning, horny toads, Kenny G, blindness, scorpions, etc.

Don't give that 'original sin did it all' crap. If God made everything, he made the bad stuff too.

All you hear is the negative. Has anyone had a positive experience? I have a feeling that the positive stories don't get as much attention, but they have to be out there.

He always spoke of his "thorn in the flesh', a physical problem or temptation he couldn't seem to shake. The fundies say he had a gimp arm or whatever. I say that's lame. You know, he never married and he spoke out against marriage. I think there's a good chance here.

She says she loves me. She says I'm the love of her life. She says she wants to be with me, but she won't end her other relationship. She says she isn't sure. I start to think I must not be that important to her. I'm ready to turn my life upside down and I feel taken for granted. How long do I wait? She is the love of my life.

I am going through a rough divorce. When I pose questions on here which don't specify my gender, I get vey helpful and encouraging responses. When I identify myself as a man, it seems there is blood in the water and all the vendictive and hateful women attack me. Some of the allegations are outrageous. You don't know anything about me at all, yet you want to call me names and lump me in with every man who has ever done you wrong. It is astounding. I know all women aren't so spiteful, are they?
