  • How can I get Word to indent paragraphs?

I'm editing a document in MS Word, 62,000 words which, with my current size, font and spacing settings, is 140 pages long. Somehow though I've lost all indentation. Indenting is good, I need it back.

Is there a way I can just select the whole thing, choose a magic option and it will do the job for me? If not I'll have to carry on doing it manually which is difficult when also testing for grammar and spelling errors.

If you can help me that'd be great!

    Cheers.

  • How can I clean paint from a water dish for birds?

My bird table has a water dish in it but while painting the roof with gloss paint I managed to drip paint into it through a tiny gap in the wood. How can I clean paint from the terracotta dish with absolutely no chance of harming the birds?

I tried scrubbing the paint off but to little avail. I have some turpentine, which is the obvious choice when removing paint, but I was unsure if it was safe with birds drinking out of it.

  • How can I fix a crack in a terracotta water dish?

I made a bird-table and included in it a sunken terracotta dish filled with water. Today, while putting the dish back in the hole after making some adjustments to the table I managed to crack the dish and now water is leaking out. It took about 5 minutes to drain a full dish so obviously it has no value being left in the garden all day, by the time the birds return after seeing me it'll be empty.

I have already turned the dish upside-down and applied a line of super glue to the crack. In the past I've never known super glue to be useful for anything other than gluing the tube to the table and it was more of a 'please work' type plan.

If you could supply me a better solution that would be great.

  • How can I fix this speech mark problem on word 2003?

I began typing up a story on Word 2007 but a trial I didn't realise I had ran out so instead I shall be typing on a different computer than has Word 2003 only, which is fine except that whenever I do an opening speech mark it's the wrong way round and only when I put a space before it does it go the right way. How can I fix this problem?

Just for the record this only happens at the start of the line.

Thanks for any help and feel free to ask for any possibly necessary information, cheers.

  • Why can't I format this computer?

I'm formatting a friends Laptop, and I've done this a billion times but never encountered this problem. It loads up like normal then stops when it reaches the point of 'starting windows' or something similar. I get the error message 'cannot find hard disk drive'.

So I obviously knew there was a hdd, so I checked the BIOS and it says there is a HDD1, but no HDD.

This may be a fairly common problem with an easy solution but I've been out of the game for a while and have forgotten a lot.

FYI, I'm installing XP onto a computer that has Vista on it, not that I imagine it matters. And I cannot sign into any of the accounts, I don't have the passwords.

    Thanks Alot.

  • I'd like to read Arthurian legend but I don't know where to start, can you help?

In case you're not sure by Arthurian legend I mean king Arthur, knights of the round table etc. I've read a fair amount of fantasy books of a similar vein and I've always liked these stories, if I could get a rough starting point I'd be off.

  • If I wanted a vending machine made, who should I hire?

Simple enough question, basically who should be contacted for design and creating of a vending machine?Basically I can design the look of it but can't do the technical stuff. I assume it's an engineer but it may be a more specific occupation.

  • Would throwing knifes wreck a dart board?

If they would, what would be a good alternative to using a dart board? Obviously something like a wooden fence would be good, but I'd be a bit unsure about this, especially as a beginner (I have neighbours). Thanks.

  • What's the name of the program in which you change images and compile to make a shooting game?

I used this program years ago, it came with 3 images I believe, a background, an enemy and the enemy after being shot. You could also add sounds to it, does anyone have any idea what the program is? If you need any more details, you'll probably be better off emailing me, I'm at work ;).

I'm almost certain it's freeware by the way, because the university gave me my copy of it.

  • What kind of code am I looking for?

I looking for a code to change images on the website at work, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I want the image to change depending on the link you have the mouse over, for example, if you had it over home, it might change to a house, or if you had it over links, you might want it to be a chain or something. What's the name of such a code? I tried things like [multiple image mouse over code] but that didn't come up with anything of use.

No need to stick to Laymans terms, I'm used to web design, I'm just not versed in Javascript and the such, thanks alot.

  • I need a job so I'm going to a job agency next Friday, what can I expect?

I've been out of work a while and apparently nobody wants to give me a chance, in fact, I've deemed myself unemployable, but I know that agencies will take anybody on, so I'm going to give it a try and see what they've got. Have you had any experiences with the places?

I have had 2 experiences with agencies:-

First time they sent me to the wrong place (only about 2 miles away from the place I should of been) for an interview. So I thought screw this, not going after this.

Second time I was offered an interview and pretty much told the job was mine, but they cancelled a couple of hours before and didn't rearrange.

After looking at those 2, I must be crazy to try them again, but hey, what's the worst that can happen?

  • Are there any programs that can download images stored in a folder on the internet?

It would be easier than saving them one by one, and it's an easy way for me to transfer photos from 1 computer to another, I could store them on my webspace and download them all onto another.

  • what do you think is the lowest resolution a picture should have to be printed onto an A4 piece of paper?

I have some pictures that I'd like to print out onto a4 glossy paper, they're 720x497 and although they look good on the screen, not too sure they'd look good on paper. Thanks

My web cam came with a program called AmCap which isn't quite suitable. I just recorded a 9 second video on it and it took up 82MB. I'm looking for a program which won't take up 1000s of MB's every time I want to shoot a long video. thanks everyone.

I don't understand why because before I changed the site, all the frames worked fine either way. Got any ideas of what I can do?

by the way, when I say it won't work I mean my 'customiser' bar won't work just so you know, thanks alot.
