OK so I've had a diamond pendant in my top drawer of my jewelery box for about four months. It was my mothers, and I'd been saving it for my daughter's 16th birthday. I put the box and diamond into the jewelery box and never ONCE opened it. Today I go to get it, and it's gone. It was perhaps the most expensive piece in my jewelery box - and I am almost certain that a house cleaner from Royal Maid Services stole it, as two weeks ago we had different girls than we usually do.

What should I DO?!? My mother is dead; that piece meant a LOT to me. How do I approach the Royal Maid Service about my suspicions? Is there any chance of me getting it back? Has anyone else had similar problems? Please, any information from someone who's been through this before would be SO helpful!

I'm really interested as to who composed the new Dark Night movie music? The trailer's soundtrack seemed stunning!

About two days ago I noticed a small round bump on my inner thigh, about the size of a thumbnail. It's raised and red, and somewhat dry. It has irregular, wiggly edges and seems to be darker in some places than others. It's actually becoming itchy and bothersome now! It doesn't LOOK like ringworm to me - its center isn't any lighter than the outside, and last time I had ringworm (in almost the same place) it was much larger.

Anyway, I took some pictures and was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to what it may be. I may have contracted it at work - I recently started volunteering at a hospital, and although I keep good hand-washing hygene it may have somehow gotten past me. (I've already brough home pinkeye from somewhere! :( )

I have very thick curly dark-brown/black hair - about mid-back length when straightened - and very fair skin. I don't want to dye my hair, but I'd like a new hairstyle that's about shoulder length or a bit higher. :) I also have bangs that I'm trying to grow out - does anyone have pictures of nice hair styles that I may be able to get?

When conjugating verbs in Spanish, are the endings for the conditional (hypothetical) tense and the imperfect indicative (I, you, he/she/you was/were verbing) the same? I have them as both ending in -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, and -ían. (for yo, tu, el/ella/Ud, nosotros, vosotros, and ellos/ellas/Uds. respectively.)

I just went to clean my self-cleaning oven and a huge fire caught in the inside of the oven. The door is locked, so I can't even open it to pour baking soda on it. I turned the oven off and the fire seems to have gone away, but I don't know what to do! Can I not clean my oven or something?

It sounds almost opera-like, and has no words - only an AMAZING female vocalist singing something equivalent to a big giant slur note? It's amazing.

I'm going to a tanning salon for the first time today. I think I'll be going about 2-3 times a week for the next 3 weeks. What should I do before, during, and after going tanning that will help me to keep my tan longer, tan faster, and be safer? Do you have any tips for first-time tanners? Should I wear sun screen? I've heard that AirBourne, my old tried-and-true method, doesn't work. I really, really, reeeeally don't want to get sicknesses from others on the airplane. Is there anything (other than turning off the vents) that I can do beforehand and during the flight to prevent contracting an illness?

My eye feels like it has something in it; it hurts terribly, especially in the lower-left region and when my lower lid closes. When I feel around with my fingers, it seems like there's a hole in my cornea or something. I wear soft contact lenses - could this be the problem? Should I see a doctor, or let my eye heal by itself? Thanks!

My best friend and I are considering going to our very first trip to Europe. Three years ago, when I was 12, I came home from school crying because my teachers told me my parents, who were two-pack-a-day smokers, were going to die of lung cancer. After a difficult, uphill battle both of my parents quit smoking. Recently, however, I had started to smell cigarettes around the house again. I searched the car I share with my dad, and found a pack of cigarettes. I don't know how long they'd been there, but it was almost empty. I've spoken to him about it, told him how I am concerned for his health and how I want to have a father to see me graduate, and to walk me down the aisle. I told him I hated him for lying to me and for ruining my trust in him...I feel awful for that, but I saw it as a necessary action. However, it's been weeks and apparently "guilting him" into quitting isn't working.

Now what?

And please don't tell me that I'm a teenager, and that I have no say in my dad's life. I love him. And it's my life he's slowly ruining too. No dad in the future? :(
