I play music and I love to debate politics and religion. Politically I am a Libertarian, though not staunch. That essentially means that I am fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I will never vote straight down party lines, I have voted for Libertarians, Independents, Republicans, Greens and Democrats, whoever I feel is the best person for the job. I have recorded a CD and have traveled the country playing music (before children). I ran for the Colorado State House of Representatives back in '98. I have lived in the secluded mountains of Colorado and in big cities. At this point in my life, I prefer the excitement of the city. I live in Springfield, Missouri but would prefer something bigger, like Cleveland or Chicago but I am here for the benifit of my children, not for me. I grew up in Cleveland and had lived in Colorado for about 12 years. I enjoy meeting new people, especially from across the world. I find it refreshing to hear other views.
How do I get my son to stop a bad nervous habbit?
My 10 year old son has recently developed a habbit of pulling apart the tops of his socks throughout the day, fraying and desroying them. I've told him if one more sock gets destroyed, he will be in serious trouble. Any suggestions on how I can get him to stop? One idea I had is to send him to his summer day camp wearing socks that would be embarrassing to be seen in like really high tube socks or girls socks. I also don't want to scar him though. Any suggestions?
4 AnswersGrade-Schooler9 years agoWhat are the"Aerials" in the song by System of a Down?
What a great song! I understand the jist of it but what is an Aerial in reference to that song. What is hanging in the sky that he is singing about. After looking up the other meanings of the word besides the common one, I have my own thoughts but I want to hear others. Thanks!
1 AnswerMusic1 decade agoDoes anybody have any quick, easy, healthy and tasty recipes conducive to weight loss and healthy living?
I grew up cooking like a classic midwesterner and most of the recipes I know are fattening. At almost 40 now, it is catching up with me and I need advice on recipes, food ideas and/or some websites that you have tried/tested some recipes. I like all kinds of foods, just don't know how to make the healthy ones. I usually cook for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children so kid friendly is a bonus!). I also would like to be able to pass down more healthy cooking/eating habits to my children so that none of us ends up like my grand parents and aunts & uncles (VERY obese). We have already dramatically cut back on the sodas and junk food, only have it on rare special occasions and don't keep that stuff in the house. Thank you for your help!
19 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoHow is it possible that a book proclaiming to know every word Jesus ever spoke not know exactly when he died.?
Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday following the first full moon following the Spring Equinox (how wonderfully pagan!). No one knows when Jesus died but the bible claims to have every word the man ever said in his entire adult life written in it. How is it possible to know THAT much about him but not when he died? This is but one of the many reasons that I do not accept the bible as a truth or the "word of God". Maybe someone out there can shed some light on the issue. I am almost 40 years old and have been questioning people on this for about 20 years. No one has ever been able to answer this question beyond "I don't know, let me ask my minister."
