  • Should there be a separate Baseball Hall of Fame for steriod users?

That way, the achievements of Clemens, Bonds, Sheffield, Giambi, Justice, Pettitte, Palmeiro, Canseco, et. al., can still be recognized while not tarnishing the legacies of the players who achieved greatness through hard work and talent rather than chemical enhancement.

    What do you think?

How much would you pay to visit the Steriod Hall of Anabolic Major-league Excellence (SHAME)?

  • Which Jerry Falwell quote has inspired you the most?

Jerry Falwell was a loving, religious man and said a lot of inspirational things. Here are some:

    "If you're not a born-again Christian, you're a failure as a human being."

"AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals."

"The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country."

"I do question the sincerity of people like the Reverend Martin Luther King."

"Labor unions should study and read the Bible instead of asking for more money. When people get right with God, they are better workers."

"I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU... I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen" (regarding the 9/11 attacks).

"Thank God for these gay demonstrators. If I didn't have them, I'd have to invent them. They give me all the publicity I need."

  • Isn't the Don Imus controversy just a waste of time?

Are you getting sick of this constant cycle of has-beens (or never-wases) making an outrageous comment, getting blasted by losers like Al Sharpton, receiving tons of publicity, and then making numerous apologies?

Aren't we wasting our time with this nonsense? Aren't so-called "leaders" like Sharpton and Jackson lowering the racial debate by making it about idiots like Don Imus and Michael Richards instead of the larger issues?

Our country is stuck in a dead-end war, our national reputation is as low as it's ever been, and our federal government is as corrupt as it's ever been -- and Jesse Jackson, a supposed leader and role model of his people, is mounting numerous protests against Don Imus? Because of some stupid comment he made about a basketball team on his radio show?

Don't these people have anything better to do? Bigger fish to fry? Or are they as trivial and insignificant as their complaints make them out to be?

Even the fast-food industry doesn't want to be associated with him. Ouch!

  • What's your favorite microwave meal?

My current favorite is Boston Market's swedish meatballs.

I also like their lasagna, turkey medallions, and meat loaf.

I used to like other brands (Marie Callendar, Healthy Choice, Stouffers), but right now it's all about the Boston Market.

  • Do you still deny that global warming exists or that it is a major problem?

Now that a new "smoking gun" report was just annonced and will be released by 600 scientists (and reviewed by 600 more scientists and edited by bureaucrats from 154 countries) that says global warming does exist and presents a major problem for the entire world's population -- do you still deny that it exists and is a major problem?

And now that the CEOs of ten major American corporations (including Alcoa, BP America, DuPont, Caterpillar, General Electric, and Duke Energy) have declared global warming to be a major problem that requires the federal government to issue mandatory reductions in climate-changing pollution -- do you still deny that global warming exists and is a major problem?

And now that the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists has moved the "doomsday clock" forward two minutes, declaring that "dangers posed by climate change are nearly as dire as those posed by nuclear weapons" -- do you still deny that global warming exists and is a major problem?

    Well, do you?

  • Why give $250 million to an athlete who's more interested in becoming an actor?

    *cough cough* David Beckham *cough*

(Let's not even discuss the fact that this astronomical contract is being given in a sport that's less popular in the U.S. than indoor lacrosse.)

How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

    Jingle All the Way (1996)

    Home Alone (1990)

    Christmas Vacation (1989)

    Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)

    Scrooged (1988)

I'm sure there are a lot more...

  • How badly does this country need some serious, honest, and calm discussions about race?

From George "Macaca" Allen to Mel "Jews Responsible for All Wars" Gibson to Michael "Nuclear Meltdown" Richards, we've had a lot of very public displays of racism lately. And it's not just white on minority hatred, either. You think Richards blew up without provocation? Think again. A local black politician in my area just got busted for owning a blog that contains some very racist attitudes.

We can pretend America no longer has major problems about race, but I think we all know deep down that we're just lying to ourselves.

How can we start having a positive dialogue about racial attitudes in America?

  • Should political robo-calls be illegal?

One woman received so many Republican robo-calls she could use her own phone.

Other people received robo-calls pretending initially to be Democrats at 11 pm at night. Only at the very end of the robo-call does it identify itself as having been sent by the Republicans. The idea is to infuriate voters with late-night harrassing calls and make them think the Democrats are behind it.

All of this abuse makes me think political robo-calls in general should be banned.

    What do you think?

  • Should I vote for ONE Republican today?

I don't typically vote a straight party ticket, but this year was planning to vote all Democrat to protest the horrible and corrupt leadership provided by the national Republican Party. I figured if someone was willing to still accept a Republican endorsement (be it national or local), then they didn't deserve my vote.

However, there is one local Republican candidate who takes my side on several key issues and the Democrat does not. The Republican will win whether I vote for him or not?

Should I vote for this lone, intelligent Republican? Or should I vote straight Democrat since he should be calling himself a Republican in the first place?

Thanks for your help with this dilemna.
