I have a TV that has a USB port. It can read pictures fine but can't detect and play videos of any file type. Is there any peripheral I can buy to allow this or is it not really possible.

I have a laptop that requires a 120W adapter. There are some replacements here that have the same voltage but lower current. According to the sellers, it will work fine. I want to know if there are any disadvantages to this? I'm thinking that the adapter will be hotter than usual because it needs to supply a larger current

I am tired of downloading stuff from the Internet. When I work, I don't use the Internet so I want something to be running while I am working. I used to download anything but now my drive is full. What would be a productive way of using my bandwidth?

There is this 3-day training that says it is a live out training. Does this mean we stay at the hotel where the training is scheduled?

The calendar at Google Apps is fine but requires you to have an internet connection all the time. I mostly travel with my laptop so I need one that can be installed and works offline. I prefer those that carry over the event into next year. For example, I add birthday at April 1, it should appear next year on the same day. Hope someone can help. Thank you.

I use XAMPP for both Windows and Linux.

I use the exact same code and database on Windows and Ubuntu but it does not work on Ubuntu.

Apache 2.2.14, MySQL 5.1.41, PHP 5.3.1 installed on Linux.

Why is this so?

I have placed a shortcut to a program I have in the Startup folder and it now opens whenever the computer starts which is fine. However, I want it to run in the background or not display the window anymore. Currently the DOS window still stays on screen.

Alternatively, a solution to place it on the taskbar would be nice too.

I just reformatted my laptop to Windows 7. Whenever I start it up, I am asked to choose if I want to boot Windows 7 or an earlier version of Windows. Why is this so? I've formatted the Hard Disk already prior to installing Windows 7.

I have 2 serial ports and they show as COM1 and COM3. One is connected to my monitor and the other unused, I am going to connect something to the other one but need to know which COM Port it is. Otherwise, I might be sending the signals to my monitor instead of the other device.

I am planning on signing up for a wordpress free blog and I'm wondering if I am able to add adsense and others like it to the site on my own. I'm not sure if wordpress already adds its own adsense.

I have 3 PCs connected to a router and the 2 PCs work well. The third one works fine also except that at times, the network shows that the local area is disconnected for around 2 seconds. It cuts my streaming of videos and interferes with other stuff. The wires are all connected and as I said it works fine except for those brief disconnections. What do you think is wrong?
