Would Jesus make him live in a cardboard box? Why would he let people with little fishes on their car drive by him and give him nothing? That seems a bit cruel.

He is going to leave all us atheists and disbelievers here to well… you know the whole revelations thing. But picking and choosing people that like you doesn’t seem all that Christian-like and bringing wrath and hell-fire to people you don’t want to take with you seems kindof uncharitable? Why would your loving God do that? I am afraid he is starting to sound more like a tele-evangelist.

and Granny’s answer was actually very nice but it made me wonder if a Godly life is to be lived outside of prince’s palace among the poor and down-trodden (which I think is great) then why does Joel Osteen and the like drive fancy cars and live in big houses?

At how poorly we have treated the planet or how badly nations have treated one another?

I just went to Los Cabos and stayed at the Playa Grande Resort and spa and it was beautiful. We had a great time, but I was wondering why they put in these fabulous pools when the ocean blue beach is only a few steps away? There were alot of people by the pool but the water and beaches there are so great why would you waste it at the pool?

When he could be in Cabo San Lucas? If I were God that's where I would go and stay! I stayed at the Playa Grande Resort and if I were him I would stay there and get an upgraded room.

I actually think that is the most wondrous part of religion is that you believe God could be anywhere but he chooses to be with you. Interesting.

At the airport a lady gave me a religious pamphlet with the headline “Are you a verb or an adverb” at first I thought it was a little crazy and then I just thought it was pretty funny. So which are you, a verb or an adverb? And tell me which verb or adverb you would be.

That there is much information out there that we are getting that is filtered or slanted to make it palatable for us Americans. So where is this liberal media?

I asked a question earlier about the progression of technology (notice I skipped the word evolution) and I was surprised that among Christian answers there was a discrepancy between God being the author of time and bringing us these technologies and it being free will and the follies of man. So WHO is driving the bus here, God or Free will?

I am curious how we decide the value of one person’s life against another. A current example would be the current conflict with Israel. Hezbollah raided Israel and took (2) soldiers and now innocent women and children are being killed in Lebanon and Israel is sending troops deeper into Lebanon. This is only an example there are unfortunately hundreds of others. What is the ratio then for the eye- for an-eye rule?

Then why didn’t he bring any of this stuff out sooner? I bet Jesus could have really used a PDA to arrange his busy miracle working, leper touching, prostitute saving schedule. So why didn’t he bring out this stuff earlier and what is he holding out from us now?

Where do you get most of your information about politics and world events from (newspaper, local news etc) and which source do you see as most reliable?

I understand the basics; profanity, soliciting minors and racism. I am all for reporting people who have a blatant disregard for the aforementioned. But I am seeing people who are getting reported for sentiment that does not agree with someone else’s ideology, I have seen people reported for posting their views and not in the form of a question that was palatable, I have even seen people get reported for being to chatty. If someone is asking a question that you obviously will not like or approve, why click on it? Just ignore it and move to another question you would enjoy. Also what is the benefit or motivation to report someone and what (besides the obvious) will make you report someone else?

Last week, a federal study came out that challenges the assumption that private schools are inherently better than public schools. When factors like race, gender and socioeconomic background are taken into account, the study says, students at public and private schools do just about the same on math and science tests, this study was released without the usual fanfare sine Mr. Bush has a voucher bill in the works. How Now? If public schools are no more profoundly different than private why should money be funneled away from public schools? Why should we give another tax break to people who pay private tuition?
