  • Yellow bubble in vision since brain MRI?

(No, it's not a floater. This is bigger, and not clear or gray, it's yellow.) In my right eye only...seen a few times a day, no pain, does not interfere with my vision as of this writing. My doctor hasn't got a clue. Ihad my eyes dilated a month ago, there was no retinal detachment. My eye dr thought it would just "go away." Nope, still there!

  • Why am I weak and shaky sometimes?

Some days I go into work and about an hour after I've been there I start feeling very weak and shaky. It happens sometimes even after I've eaten a good breakfast so it can't be hunger. I'm a housekeeper and it really affects my ability to perform my job; I have to go sit down and eat something more until it eases up. I mentioned it to my GI doctor who thought I may be lactose intolerant, but I always thought that just caused "digestive disturbances." Anyone else out there know what the cause might be?

  • What pay rate should I expect for the following combination job?

I am a housekeeper/meal provider/elderly assistant/companion to a geriatric diabetic patient in Hawaii. I am mature with thirty years of housekeeping experience and a total of approximately three years of elderly companion assistance. I'm unsure of what my salary rate should be at this time. I have been with my current employers for over six months. I do blood glucose checks and assist with prescribed meds.

I know that when I was hired I took over the jobs of at least two previous employers, i.e. one housekeeper/cook and at least one care provider/elderly aide.

  • How can I save/salvage my tomato plants?

Being rather a newbie at this gardening thing, I got a bit overzealous and planted more seeds than I needed initially...(blah, blah, blah); so now I have it all pared down to a few leggy plants with some good leaf growth and flowers (pre-tomatoes) forming and about 9 small green cherry tomatoes and two beefsteak starting) One of the beefsteak (the biggest) had a funny abnormality on one side (but it's not blossom end rot...I looked it up), I don't know exactly what it is...I took a picture and will upload it in a bit. So, are all my tomatoes going to end up this way? I live on Oahu, so the plants get plenty of sunshine, and I water daily (usually) in the early a.m. and added plenty of compost a couple of weeks ago, and also feed them twice a week with organic tomato food. I know there's a lot more I could be doing but...damn, this "hobby" is getting expensive! Not to mention all the time I've put into them. If I get a decent number of tomatoes I'll be happy and it will be well worth it. Anyone from Hawaii out there got any ideas? The leaves have had many problems too, including miner leaf damage. I just want a halfway decent yield...any help or advice is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    "Tell us about yourself...."

I do well getting an interview, and at an interview right up until this point....then I freeze up and tend to ramble! Ugh! I'm no kid, I'm over 50! People say, just practice...practice what? I wouldn't know where to begin...and that's why I start to ramble. Trying to get it all in in a few minutes time! Soooo frustrating. I have another job interview today, in 3 hours...any advice out there like, quickly? lol

  • Could this be a skin cancer?

I've had this sore that hasn't healed on the outer portion of my right ear. The most recent symptoms are it sometimes develops a light crust but mostly it bleeds slightly at night. It used to crust a lot more but I've been trying not to touch it. It's mostly healed except for the night bleeding. Again, it's very light bleeding but enough to make me wonder. My ears have seen a lot of sun over the years as well, short hair or ponytails when it's longer. I have scheduled an appointment for a referral to a dermatologist but wondered if anyone else has had a similar experience in the meantime.

  • What country song has the words, "We really shouldn't be doing this..."?

Or, "We really should not do this..." It's sung by a man and it sounds old-fashioned. Those might not be the exact words, even but the meaning was the same. I don't listen to country music so I don't have any idea who sings it but could be a mid-aged dude. It's hard to tell what decade it came from either, but to me it sounded like it was from the 60's, but who knows. Any clues?

My ex-boss used to play that song, while his wife was stationed overseas! (and NO, we never "did" anything...I have my standards.)
