Why does my face feel numb when I sit at my computer?
Mostly happens on my right (facial) cheek. Numb and tingly till I get up and move around. Any ideas? I'm assuming it has something to do with nerves.

I'm wondering if it has to do with the positioning of your spine. Are you sitting with your head leaned forward or kind of jut forward? Are you tense at all in your neck area?
I ask because I get numbness in my face too (mostly my lower jaw, lip, tongue, and teeth) from both TMJ issues and I just found out recently that I have arthritis in my neck. It also happens when I'm overly stressed. I take muscle relaxants every day now along with prescription NSAIDs. I used to see a chiro regularly but we can't afford it now.
But, yea, I'm thinking you're pinching a nerve in your cervical spine. And that can be caused by position or even tight muscles... (and sometimes really strange things like tumors.. but that is rare).

I have the same issue and raised my desk so I can stand for an hour or so and then sit on a bar stool for awhile. It relieves what ever pressure is causing the numbness

Maybe you stay at the same position at this same time that your face falls asleep. For example, when if you leave your foot at the same position at a long period of time, it falls asleep. And tingles and numbs when you move it.
