  • Promotional Period Payment on store card?

I have a best buy card with:

Promotional 0% deferred interest till 10/2011 Balance $475

    Regular interest 25% Balance $200

If I make a $300 payment will they subtract the funds from my interest balance, my promotional balance, or do a split based on account balance percentages? I tried to talk with someone and they didn't understand what I meant.

  • Touching in the workplace?

I started at a daycare and after a few days I walked into my directors office and she said "I don't have time to talk to you sweetheart" and grabbed my arm and shoved me out of the way and I told her she can't touch me and then threatened to call the police. Should I consult a legal advice? The state is Virginia an employee at will state but I don't think an employeer can touch an employee like that, is this considered battery?

  • Best TV for ps3 and HDTV?

I am now in the market for a new HDTV after selling my old Dynex 42". I thought it was a pretty darn good picture for the 600 bucks I paid but I was approved for up to 1900 on an amazon card with 0% interest for 24 months so let us rejoice. I was looking and they had a LG 50pk550 for $900 shipped. Any other suggestions I don't want to spend any more than 1000.

  • Ethical or Legal, Papa John's way out?

I've been working as a delivery driver for the last 2.5 years as I make my way through college. As a double accounting and finance major, I've been second guessing myself when it comes to the compensation we receive.

    We receive:

Federal minimum wage of $7.25/hr when were in the store (cleaning etc)

$4.00/hr when were in our cars delivering pizza's

and $0.90/delivery as a sort of gas/maintenance reimbursement.

How can big companies like Papa John's get away with providing such a meager wage to their employees? I mean come on 4.00 an hour and 90cents a delivery? How can this be legal or ethical?

I'll be graduating soon and the day I get an internship I'll be sure to let my area supervisor have an earful but till then I'm stuck in the cycle.

  • Which is not a current liability?

I am doing a homework assignment and can't seem to figure out the correct answer.

Of the following, which typically would not be classified as a current liability?

-Estimated liability from cash rebate program.

-A long-term note payable maturing within the coming year.

    -Rent revenue received in advance.

-A six-month bank loan to be paid with the proceeds from the sale of common stock.

I am seeing all of these as current liabilities, is one of these a non current liability?

  • What to expect when jumping 300+ HP?

Ok here's a little background. I've owned 2 cars a cavalier and a cobalt and those are the only cars I've ever driven in my life. I just finished up my degree a little while ago and landed myself a great job making good money and since I have no real bills (23, Single, no kids, 500/month rent) I want to go out and get myself a monster of a car and really love the way the srt8 looks, sounds, and performs. (Been to drag races, car shows the whole deal)

I'm going to the dealership in the morning to test drive one and I'm wondering what are some of the major differences in driving a 125 FWD Toy to something like a 425 HP RWD Beast?

Also how should I tell my dad. He's been a mechanic at a chevy dealership since he was 18 and has owned 3 vettes and a couple camaros and wouldn't dream of driving another make, what should I say to him to convince him if I really do love the car after I drive it?

What could I reasonably talk the dealer down on this specific one. It only has 4000 miles on it so I assume they can't get rid of it taking into consideration its got a clean title
