Hi, I'm Nina. I am a self taught astrologer (still learning) that enjoys giving people insight through astrology. I never charge and it's a fun way to get to know people. I don't mind the haters ;P I am a double Taurus with Capricorn Rising and I am lucky enough to have Neptune Rising as well! (IMO) :D I love to read, write, paint, draw, pretty much CREATE things. I like all kinds and all signs of people! Everyone has something to offer.

  • I'm pregnant and wanted to get out on a pregnancy chapter (CHP 8) and they wouldn't let me?

I have been trying to get out since my first daughter was born in Oct '11 and my unit at Fort Gordon refused to do a chapter 5-8 for no family care plan. My husband and I are dual military Army and he went to jump school then was stationed at Ft. Bragg while I was still at Gordon. I was able to PCS and when I got to my unit I immediately told them I had no family care plan and needed to be separated.

So they sat on their *** and did nothing. I found out I was pregnant again and put in for a pregnancy chapter. They pretty much said I had to have a family care plan to go through with that chapter which makes no sense and then waited 30 days to even submit my paperwork for the other chapter (5-8) and this is dragging on at the expense of my 6 month old daughter and my health. I can barely keep my eyes open to drive and they deny my quarters from the doctor that get written for exhaustion.

Can they deny one chapter and choose another one? I looked up regualtions and it said that the chapter with the most latitude should be the one choosen if there were two chapters eligible for the soldier. And if that doesn't solve it, the chapter most favorable to the soldier shall be used. Wouldn't that be the pregnancy chapter? I don't understand what they mean by "with the most latitude."

  • What emotions or thoughts does this poem evoke in you?

    Dark and sticky sweet

    like a candy apple, or

    an overripe strawberry...

    smeared carelessly across the canvas

glistening in the darkness of the shadows that fill the room.

I pull my shiny red wagon

over the bumps and jagged cracks of this broke down sidewalk

still standing on the razor's edge

    trading decisions and delusions

while the Cabernet slowly seeps further into the pristine white carpet.

Who is watching the flashing ambulance lights

paint onlookers with it's morbid hue

as they begin slicing through the layers so carefully laid atop one another,

counting the mistakes so tightly packed together

like crumbling bricks ready to dissolve into dust and float away

on the gentlest breath of a dying wind.

Cutting to the heart of the matter,

finding a way to reach even deeper into the depths of this unknown.

You find the sharpest of points, driving them home

    to make the strongest impact

    while it burns and destroys

as quickly as molten lava oozing from it's fresh wound upon the earth.

Can you ignore it again as the devil extends a hand for another dance

down the rose-lined pathway to Hell?

  • What do you think of my poem Stained? Any good?

Unpublished work Copyright © 2010 by the author

IT found its way into the walls

    IT hangs from the ceiling,

IT still clings to the very air

    IT creates its own feeling.

    Our passion bears words

    carrying stories of the past

visible pictures if one cares to look

from our first touch there to our last.

IT spins around, dances in circles

IT moves to its own beat.

    IT feels ashamed, lost, confused,

    without yours it's incomplete.

    A promise made lifetimes ago

fulfilled so many times, made whole

mine to hold, to cherish close

    mine to soothe, embrace, console.

We left our mark upon that place

For all who come to see

A home where a promise came full turn

Stained with our love for eternity.

  • Is this poem called This Is The Life I Prefer any good and can you think of a better title?

Unpublished work Copyright © 2010 by the author

I fall upon the floor again

    Shaking, shaking, still

    Fighting hard as always

    Trying to break my will.

    The movie memories flash

    As other thoughts go dark

    Seized and held immobile

    As another makes its mark.

    Thrashing, ripping, tearing through

It isn't fear that grips me

I've learned a little every time

Through all that's come to be.

Fading in and out at times

    These questions still surrounding

It's never off my mind for long

I've grown to like its sting.

I always think a million things

    Beyond the simple answer

As much as I think back and over

This is the life I prefer.

    MY HAND SHAKES A LITTLE

AS THE TIDAL WAVE CRASHES DOWN.

    YOU ALWAYS CAUSE THIS DISASTER

CAUSE MY WORLD TO CRUMBLE FASTER.

I GAVE IN TO THE MOUNTING PRESSURE

    THE VOLCANO WAITING TO EXPLODE.

I GAVE IN TO ALL DESIRE

    INTO YOUR ALL CONSUMING FIRE.

    THE LAST CHERRY BLOSSOM FALLS

FROM THE LAST OF THE TALL TREES

AS THE HOWLING WINDS GAIN SPEED

    SWIRLING EVER INCREASING NEED.

AS I RUSH TOWARD THE BARRIER

    FORGED THROUGH ALL OF TIME

CLOUDS LET LOOSE THEIR OWN ASSAULT

    ILLUMINATING OUR SEDUCTIVE FAULT.

AS THE GROUND CRACKS OPEN WIDER STILL

EVER CLOSER TO PULLING ME DOWN

LIGHTENING SPARKS A FLAME SO BRIGHT

A FIRE TO BURN THROUGH ALL THE NIGHTS.

AS SHADOWS SEEM TO CREEP IN CLOSE

A NEED TO ENGULF MY SOUL

JUST LISTEN NOW, THE BREEZE IS FAINT

CHOOSE AGAIN, IT SAYS, CHOOSE YOUR FATE.

  • What do ya think of my poem, Break Me Down?

Unpublished work Copyright © 2010 by the author

    Round and round in circles

    I'll take another turn

    Already bought my tickets

    I've nothing left to learn.

    You were welcomed openly

    It was done with ease

But when it came down to it

I found you hard to please.

    A breath, a touch, a moment sought

    Again I'm drowning dry

I'm choking on these very words

As the chance now passed me by.

I find it hard to tell the truth

    Owning up and coming forward

Beyond the silly masks and games

    That we normally lean toward.

    I don't admit what's really there

I play things down and out

I sidestep, duck, and change my mind

As to what it's all about.

I fear one day not far from now

As you ask and ask me why

The truth will still elude my lips

And all I'll do is sigh....

  • Path of Shadows or Et Earn Etty, which poem do you like better?

    PATH OF SHADOWS

Unpublished work Copyright © 2010 by the author

Sheets of it come pouring down

    some just see it

    Some love it...

    Others will fight it.

    But it keeps on falling.

    I lie awake here

    sleep rarely visits me...

    as elusive

    as what I search for

    in these cold, lonely places

    it's dark and restless

    but it's shallow and fleeting...

    It smells sweet,

    at first.

    Then illusion fades,

    truth illuminated

    the scent ripens, rots.

    I've kept searching.

    My darkness deepens further

    but I do not stop!

    How far will I go?

I'm not sure I have the answer.

    Dizzying heights,

    stomach churning falls,

    this persistence is frightening.

    Yet the curtains remain still

    the drapes drawn so tightly.

    It lingers...

    the chill engulfs, intensifies.

    Time's bony fingers

    reek of remembrance,

    tightening its grip.

    Trudging on.

    Trudging on.

    I've found peace in seclusion,

    I've found comfort within.

    The tunnel through eternity

    widens.

The words form in my mind

But are they fancy or fact?

    Fear

    Uncertainty

    Maintaining my grasp

    as tenuous as it is

    becomes easier

    as times winds whisper,

    urging,

    compelling,

    forcing me forward.

    I do not look back

    quite as often.

    Yet those glances behind continue

    over my shoulder

as I feel its breath on my neck.

    Its gaze

    penetrating,

    revealing.

    I cannot hide

for I know who I am.

    Acceptance

    is required

    as much as regret

    restricts,

    constricts.

    Still,

    pressure builds

    ever increasing

    ever onward

as the journey that wears many faces

    never ends...

Unpublished work Copyright © 2010 by the author

    This smoky sensuous quality

    cascading across my senses,

weaving in and out of perception,

    glorifying this moment in time,

    electrifying every cell inside.

I'm finding it harder to move

wading through what you leave behind every time you come around.

I'm finding it harder to know which way is up and which is down.

Causing me to see with my hands

and to feel with my eyes.

The scent of your thoughts linger...

longer than the sounds of your fragrance.

    You waves repeatedly break upon

the hidden shores within my mind.

    The storms inside unleashed

    time after time after time.

No longer barricaded against your forces,

those heavy walls long since battered down

I've conceded to float along the unknown paths

upon which your currents flow round.

  • If you believe in and follow the bible do you also believe that men and women are equal?

If so, how do you deal with the fact that the bible pretty much says that women were only created to give to men like all the other animals? I am no feminist, there are things men can do that women can't and things that women can do that men can't. Absolute fact.

But in terms of humanity I believe that you can't say men are better than women or vice versa. But the bible clearly is written in favor of men. How do you explain that? For example:

"And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." (Leviticus 21:9)

"When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets: then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her." (Deuteronomy 25:11-12)

"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean." (Leviticus 12:2)

"But if she bear a maid child, then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days." (Leviticus 12:5)

"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (I Corinthians 11:3)

"For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (I Corinthians 11:8-9)

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)

"Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything." (Ephesians 5:22-24)

"Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." (I Corinthians 14:34-35)

So...pretty much women belong to men to do with as they please, there are rules that only apply to women, etc. Personally I believe that the only reason you are not supposed to have sex before you are married, according to religion, is because you can only prove a women is no longer is virgin, there is no way to prove a man is not, therefore only a woman can be punished.

  • Could I be pregnant? Very confusing, I feel so dumb for asking?

I've been doing a lot of reading recently because I'm a little confused. My period is pretty darn regular, 28 days then 26 days, 28 then 26, and so forth. Not on any birth control, and haven't been using condoms every time with my regular partner (dumb I know) since March, in April my period was 13 days late which has never happened (but I did fly across the country for a week and then back and I was supposed to get my period on the trip but didn't) and it wasn't normal like it usually is although it was enough for pads and tampons.

Back then I figured I wasn't pregnant because I got my "period" and in less than a normal period for me I started bleeding again in May, it must have been less than 15 or around that many days into my cycle, and again it was different and shorter and most of it was like old blood (the brownish type) for 2 of the 3 days (I normally go 5-6 days). I got another "period" later in May and again it was different.

I have been hungrier and gained weight mostly in my stomach and only have had this increased appetite since after St. Patty's Day.

My boobs aren't sore or tender (although they never are, not even around my period).

For the last 3 days or so I've been having cramping like when I get my period, it has ALWAYS been a surefire sign that I will get my period in a few hours once I feel the cramping (I get BAD cramps the first two days) but not this time. I have what is called a retroverted uterus so I dunno if that affects anything.

I'm not supposed to get my period until around the 29th or the 1st.

What do you guys think? Cause I'm sick of reading a million and one articles that only give me more and more stories of women being pregnant and still having some form of bleeding. :(

I took a pregnancy test back in April a couple days before I started bleeding, but the test was expired and haven't taken one again since I had seemed to be getting my period.

  • Who knows the difference between a PLANET and a SIGN?

This is the message I received from a fellow Y/A member, and I was curious if anyone else was confused about me having Capricorn Rising AND Neptune Rising.

I also wanted to know, with the wonderful question earlier about astrology experience in terms of years and how relevant that is to the quality of the answer, how little sense this woman makes, here is the message:

    From: cynthia w

Subject: Please study up some more, honey

Message: You can NOT have two rising signs. It is not possible and you do not know what you're talking about and have no business giving information out since you are not correctly informed. YOU HAVE ONE RISING SIGN ONLY! What are your sources of astological information?

Do your self a favor and buy "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need", and read it!! It is not the only book you'll ever need if this is to be a lifelong love/hobby/profession, but it will be a good start for you.

  • Who else is disgusted by the "Millionaire Matchmaker?"?

I can't believe what I am seeing. I can't believe this show was allowed to go on the air!

This "woman" is very unattractive and a spoiled brat and is going around telling people they are cheapskates and they are gross . I have only seen 5 minutes of it and I hope someone puts this materialistic, nasty thing (using the word woman is a disgrace to females) in her place.

I really can't believe this is a real show, it's making it seem like all millionaires care about is impressing people with how much money they have (some do, I know this, but I know not all rich people act this way). How do you guys feel about this show?

I only put it on to see how bad it was going to be and I didn't expect it to be THIS bad!
