I need to know what Long Island beaches are open this time of year... preferably near the west end (long beach area) and if there is still surfing permitted. Also, do you tend to use a wetsuit in September? The water temp is around 70 degrees now, but dropping. Please help.

For Lent this year, I gave up Facebook. I was thinking about it, and I thought that it was kind of impractical, because facebook isnt bad for me or anything, and its been really hard to give up. I haven't broken it yet, but I was thinking to changing it to soda, because that's bad for you and is pretty practical. So do you think that it's okay to change my Lenten promise?

My last question was about me wondering if i had ADD/ADHD. all of the answers said its most likely, and that i should be tested. and for my whole life, people have told me that they think that i have add or that i show symptoms. and recently, its been getting worse. it started showing slighty around age 9, but now im 13 and its really annoying me. i think my mom wont take me because my sister is having troubles b/c she was recently diagnosed with bipolar, and my mom waited until my sister started drinking bottles of alcohol every day (shes 16) and ended up in the mental hospital for a week. i dont want that to happen, but i can kinda tell that i have an attention disorder (all my symptoms were in my last questio.n) anyways, how do i convince my mom to take me? i asked her and all she said was "no. you dont have add." help? and also, i know that online question thingys are usually not trust-worthy, but i score high on those add tests.

lately i've been wondering if i have ADD or ADHD.. here are some of my symptoms:

My grades have recently been slightly lowering and I've become more careless with school

I experience bursts of energy at random times (although i've been that way since childhood)

And I read online that in teen ADD/ADHD people experience brief anxiety and depression, both of which i had last year for about three months, and ended up seeing a therapist about it because i was borderline anxiety disorder

When my parents ask me to do something, work related or as simple as taking a shower, i often forget

When i'm in mid-sentence, I space out and forget what im talking about.. and have to try really hard to focus on what I'm currently talking about

I procrastinate A LOT, like right now. (I have an essay due tomorrow that im supposed to be writing.. oops.)

Also, I dont know if this means anything but I have a history of mental disorders in my family.

do you think this could possibly ADD/ADHD?

I have to make a propaganda poster for school. I chose the topic to be pro-war in Afghanistan. Now before you say anything, let me just say that I support the war because I think that the Taliban is evil and needs to be destroyed. For my poster, I obviously need a good slogan. Any ideas please?

I was just wondering if anyone could explain the war in Iraq.. because I don't really know that much about it and why exactly we're there (because i'm only 13.) I think part of it was that George W. Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction.. but I'm just looking for some more insight into the war. I asked my parents, lol they said they were too tired to tell me about because it's confusing. Btw, I know about the war in Afghanistan. Just not the war in Iraq.
