New pony issue... rearing and napping with my child and on longrein?
The first time my daughter sat on him he reared her off, nearly coming over on top of her. Previous owners stated he has never reared. So i longreined him that day and he was fine, so lunged him then put my daughter back on him and other than napping twice (where my daughter freaked so I just went and lef him a few steps to prevent anything) he went grand. Until about the 5th time riding, reared again and napped at the top of the school with my daughter and then would not go with me at all, just acting wild. Seems like he has had plenty of pratice to me. Previous owners state its my doing (despite doing it the first 2 minutes in my school). I have long reined him for 2 days in a row now with a half an hour rearing battle. (video taken yesterday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=160j-vRZ1Vw ) He gives in after a mad ten minutes and going around lovely, to start again with the rearing when turning away from the gate at a certain point againo (i.e if I ask him to circle right when the gate is to the left). Should I keep longreining or stick to lunging for a while? Really is driving me mad!!! By the way, backs fine, teeth are fine, saddle has a big comfy half pad under it, when he gives in he goes perfectly on the bit and relaxed. So MUST be napping.

2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoI have a brand new washing machine, and on a 40 degree wash the clothes are coming out quite hot and steamy.?
My mums told me the clothes are supposed to be rinsed in cold water before the end of the cycle. Is the washing machine going dulalah??? There was only a cold hose to attach to it so it cant be attached to the hot instead.
2 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoWhat do you think of this horse I just put the deposit on.?
Shes a 7 year old tb x welsh 15.2hh mare.
Shes pretty and quiet on the ground.
She hadnt been ridden in a month, so was fizzy but smooth and had nice paces despite rushing.
When I came to jump her she flew at them but came back afterwards, but with the jump at about 80cms she stopped and reared. I didnt feel in danger at all, i just spun her round. And then when she decided she wanted to do it she fully went at it.
Her jump is amazing, she did it from a standstill once as I wanted to show her it and she just leaped it.
Do you think im stupid buying a horse who reared on me (only once) or do you think I was just asking too much since shes not been ridden in so long and only the odd time in the last year?

12 AnswersHorses1 decade agoWhat position is my baby in?
Im 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my second child and the baby's head is down and I feel pressure but not properly engaged. I feel the kicks on my right side almost near my hip at times and the back/bum going from being a bit to the left to the right. Anyone know how this makes sense lol?
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoAt what stage during a pregnancy can you say you definately wont be getting stretch marks?
Im 37 weeks pregnant with my second baby, my first was 9.5 but I stayed pretty neat for some reason and I got no stretch marks.
I am about the same this time round, maybe abit bigger and dont have any marks yet but someone told me you can get them with the decreasing of your belly too. Is this true?
8 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWhat is the law with regards to a teacher being extremely rough handed with reception children?
I am doing a short placement at my daughters school.
She is 4 and is very well behaved, at the top of her class in reading and the teacher had nothing but nice things to say about her at parents evening, she just never misbehaves.
In assembly this morning, near the end, my girl got told off for talking which is fair enough.
The teacher grabbed her up by the arms trailed her across the hall, shook her a little whilst talking to her and threw her to the floor beside her.
I was absolutely shocked.
The teacher did this to another boy talking as well.
It occured to me that the previous year she was the one I had witnessed shaking another child in assembly whilst I was there watching my daughter in the nursery play and which I nearly complained about.
Im 36 weeks pregnant and felt abit emotional so did not speak to her today, but what should I do?? Speak to the principle and make it anonymous since she does it to all the children, or speak to her directly and risk my daughter being treated unfairly in the future due to it?
:( any advice will be great.
Thanks
7 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoWHen a cat has kittens do her nipples go back to normal and change again if pregnant or do they stay the same?
My cat has one kitten about 6 months ago and im trying to figure out if shes pregnant again. Shes became MEGA affectionate especially with my little girl. Shes gained weight BUT ive been really fattening her up since she stayed at my friends house for a month as she came back really underweight so could be that.
Last time I knew she was pregnant by her nipples. At the moment her nipples are about 1/2 cm long and light pink.
NO NEED FOR NEUTERING ADVICE BTW I HAPPEN TO LIKE KITTENS BEING AN ANIMAL LOVER AND I WILL GET HER DONE WHEN I FEEL THE TIME IS RIGHT TO. My other cat has been neutered so I know whats involved and the plus sides.
Thanks, Miki
5 AnswersCats1 decade agoMy dog bit a child out of fear when she was tied up. Does she have to get put down :(?
I got Sandy 4 months ago and she was just under a year old. She has been so patient with my 3 year old daughter and all her friends who are around her daily. She has never even growled. She was very nervous at the start due to her background and peed all the time when you called her but now she is totally out of her shell and loves meeting people.
Today she was tied up outside my daughters school as usual. Whilst walking out of the school doors, I was on the other side of the fence when I heard her bark and some kids and jump up abit. The girls walked away, they were around 9 years old.
I ran out anyway because it was naughty of her to bark and then I seen the girl holding her mouth. She had bitten her and caught the corner of her mouth and because of the place was bleeding quite badly.
I am so upset about this. There were children surrounding her and she obviously got scared but does this mean she has to be put to sleep :( She went straight back to her normal self after.
