  • Why can I not focus?

Whenever I try to study anything complex, I feel overwhelmed and irritated.

I understand what I am reading, but...I still feel that way.

    Why?

  • If a small ball was floating in space and there were no objects close to it save for a person, would the ball orbit them?

I was reading somewhere that everything with mass has gravity or something like that so I was wondering if an average person has enough to cause a small object to orbit them in an area that lacks other objects with more gravity than them.

  • God is supposed to be good, despite having free will, so why are many of his creations not?

Lucifer (angel) betrayed him, and Adam (human) disobeyed him.

His creations all had free will (or so it is implied), but many ended up doing their own thing instead of being good like him...but why?

Is it that God does not actually have free will? Is it because God himself defined what good is? Is it because he did not create them as perfect as himself?

How did some of his creations choose to be good or to not turn away from him even though others did not? Was the difference between them something innate? If it was, what caused them to have such differences?

It could not have been themselves, as they only had what they were created with, which should have been the same that was given to others of their kinds. Others who did not turn away from God.

So why are many of his creations not good like he is?

  • Would the moving of the date of the "Second (Third?) Coming" be considered moving the goalposts?

    Jesus said:

"For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." - Matthew 24:24

"For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." - 27

"Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other." - 30-31

"Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place." - 34

"But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." - 36

"Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." - 44

    John said:

"Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour." - 1 John 2:18

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world." - 1 John 4:1

  • How can spirits exist when mental issues exist?

Spirits are often shown to contain or be the personality and memories.

However, physical problems often affect those things.

If the spirit existed, memory and personality problems would be spiritual problems, but as can be seen, they are physical problems.

Advances in technology have allowed us to know that.

People often inherit problems from their parents or through the environment.

    So, how can spirits exist?

  • Why are God's solutions almost always harmful? (please read the details before answering)?

    Isaiah 55:8-9

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

    Matthew 19:26

"But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.""

If his thoughts and ways are so much higher than a human's and nothing is impossible with him, then why does God not resolve problems peacefully?

Why does he handle them as most humans would?

    For example:

    Genesis 6:7

"So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.""

    Genesis 19:13

"For we are about to destroy this place, because the outcry against its people has become great before the LORD, and the LORD has sent us to destroy it.""

  • Why was God worried that Adam and Eve would eat from the tree of life? (Genesis 3:22-23)?

If they had eaten from it, could he not have revoked their immortality?

Also, what would have happened if they had eaten from the tree of life before eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil?

"Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live forever—"

therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken." - Genesis 3:22

  • Why does it seem like faith (belief) is more important than faith (trust) and faithfulness to God?

In the Bible, there is a lot about faith.

However, the kind of faith that is emphasized most is the belief that one exists rather than the trust that they will do what they say.

Why does God care so much about others believing without proof?

Is there some reason for him wanting that as much as or more than trust and faithfulness?

Belief seems unimportant after meeting someone, and I cannot understand the importance in believing before that.

People talk to other people everyday. This is because they believe that the people that they are talking to are real.

Knowing this, would they have something to gain from sending someone who does not know them a letter and hoping that they believe that they exist when they could just meet them to confirm their existence to them?

It seems pointless unless they are too embarrassed to meet in person.

I know the excuse, "God thinks differently", but, honestly, that excuse has never really been a good one.

The Bible says that Adam and Eve were created in the image of God, and that after they ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they became as God in knowing good and evil.

Not only that, but God supposedly created everything, so why would what his creation thinks be so very different from that of his own?

So, why is it that God values such a thing to the point that he would eternally damn others?

What is preventing him from appearing in some tangible form?

  • Why are we not offered the same chance that Thomas was given?

As most people should know by now, buying things without prior research is a mistake.

Before you buy something, you should know what it looks like, what it does, and whether the company that you are buying from is trustworthy.

So, why should religion be any different?

Even if we were not blessed after having proof (John 20:29), there should still be an option for it.

After all, not being blessed is far better than burning for eternity, right?

To those who say that it would violate our free will, are you saying that the wills of Thomas and the others who saw Jesus were violated, and that having that happen is somehow worse than suffering eternally?

Anyway, it is not fair for Thomas and the others to get that chance while we get nothing but a compilation book of books and letters that is missing some books and a lot of information...

They got to see Jesus, and Thomas even got to quell his doubts with proof.

    God/Jesus answers prayers:

    Psalm 37:4, Matthew 7:7, Matthew 17:20

    God is just/fair:

    2 Thessalonians 1:6, Colossians 3:25, Hebrews 6:10

    Test everything:

    1 Thessalonians 5:21

"So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord." But he said to them, "Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.""- John 20:25

"Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."" - John 20:27

  • Is it fair that God decides who believes and who does not, and then punishes those he chose to make not believe?

"Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; our God is merciful." - Psalm 116:5

"who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began," - 2 Timothy 1:9

"For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." - Romans 8:29

"In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will," - Ephesians 1:11

"And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed." - Acts 13:48

"For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy." - Romans 9:15-16

"So then he has mercy on whomever he wills, and he hardens whomever he wills.

You will say to me then, "Why does he still find fault? For who can resist his will?"

But who are you, O man, to answer back to God? Will what is molded say to its molder, "Why have you made me like this?"" - Romans 9:18-20

  • In the Parable of the Sower, why does the sower not till the ground?

    In the parable:

    People are the ground.

There is ground that has been made into a road, ground with rocks, ground with thorns and ground with good soil.

    Jesus is the sower.

Why does he not make the ground ready for use before throwing seeds haphazardly onto the ground?

  • Why are both the island and mainland of Tyre still around if God said that they would not be?

    Ezekiel 26:7&14

""For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many soldiers."

"I will make you a bare rock. You shall be a place for the spreading of nets. You shall never be rebuilt, for I am the LORD; I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD."

    Numbers 23:19

"God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?"

  • Why would omniscient God (YHWH) allow the Scripture to be corrupted, when it is the only means of learning how to obtain salvation?

Examples of the errors in Scripture.

    1 Kings 4:26

"Solomon also had 40,000 stalls of horses for his chariots, and 12,000 horsemen."

    2 Chronicles

"And Solomon had 4,000 stalls for horses and chariots, and 12,000 horsemen ..."

    Leviticus 11:6

"And the hare, because it chews the cud ..."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagomorpha#Biology

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cud

    Ezekiel 26:14

(of Tyre) "I will make you a bare rock. You shall be a place for the spreading of nets. You shall never be rebuilt, for I am the LORD; I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyre,_Lebanon#Early_...

Also, will he take responsibility for those led astray by the errors in the Scripture?

    Extra, relevant verses:

    2 Timothy 3:16

"All Scripture is breathed out by God ..."

    Isaiah 40:8

"The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever."

    Numbers 23:19

"God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?"

    Isaiah 55:11

"so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."

    Malachi 3:6

""For I the LORD do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed."

  • If God wanted us to have free will and so did not impart us with immunity to sin...(continued in the details)?

...then why is it that we have other things that go against free will just as much as sin immunity would?

Date of birth, race, appearance, basic weight, height, starting location, background, class, strength, intelligence, willpower, agility, endurance, personality, health, stamina, focus, skills, etc.

These are all things chosen for us before our birth.

"Free will" is unforced choice, and these things which are preordained form the choices that we make.

So, being that our "free will" is already voided by such, what harm would it have caused for humanity to have started out with sin immunity?

  • How do you start new paragraphs when there are a lot of them?

For example, if someone is sending an email to someone, and they put:

"I went to the store yesterday to buy a new TV.

    It has been cold lately.

I went to eat at an Italian restaurant last week.

I lost my keys this morning.

    How have you been?

    <other topic>

    <other topic>

    <other topic>"

How would you make something like that sound more natural?

I cannot just keep putting "Anyway" in front of them, can I?

I usually try putting "Oh by the way" or other such things, but I end up running out of them by the fifth paragraph.

  • Why does my throat feel scratchy after eating/drinking sweet things or things made with milk?

Whenever I eat several pieces of milk chocolate, drink coffee with milk and honey, or drink shakes made with milk (like the ones from fast food places), my throat feels scratchy, like when I have a cold.

I am fine with drinking just milk or coffee, and eating dark chocolate.

Not sure, but caramel and some other sweet foods might cause it as well.

Is that a sign that there is a problem with my tonsils, that I have an allergy to something that I am eating or maybe something else?

  • How do people draw such detailed and amazing pictures?

Mountains, planets, people, sci-fi stuff, etc.

They draw them in only a few hours or less, and they still look very good.

I don't understand how they do that.

Do they have a vast knowledge of how things look?

Do they plan in advance what they will draw?

Also, how do they do that on computers?
