  • Why is WOT in top gear no faster than half throttle?

EFI I4 gasoline engine (GA16DE), highly maintained, modified, N/A

In every other gear, WOT accelerates considerably harder/quicker than at half throttle. When driving at half RPMs in top gear (about 90 mph, legally and safely), pressing the accelerator all the way doesn't increase the acceleration or RPMs (doesn't bog, but doesn't accelerate faster).

The top speed is a confirmed 130 mph, so it can go faster than 90. It performs exemplary in every other circumstance at any RPM. Is this a TPS issue or other adjustment? Is this a transmission issue affecting only top gear (automatic with manual OD)? Is there a particular component that would cause this?

  • Can't locate L/O mode (in settings) to control sub on JVC KDR 330 car stereo?

I have a JVC KDR 330 car stereo. I cannot find the L/O settings to control my Sub that is connected with the RCA cables. I can find the bass/mid/treble, but cannot even find the fade or balance, or especially the "subw." setting, which is really what I need.

I have gone through every setting/mode that I could find, and I never saw any L/O or Subw. displayed. For that matter, I never saw any fade or balance options.

  • Which electronic music am I looking for?

I appreciate music of all kinds, including several styles of electronic music. In my opinion, there is an electronic style that is better than the rest. I know the genre/sub-genre I'm looking for does exist because I've heard it before, but did not find out information about it. I have yet to find it again after years of keeping my eyes/ears open.

    Here is the description...

    1. Somewhat spacey, takes you to another place, easy to get lost in, but

    2. Energetic with plenty of sound happening and usually a fairly fast beat, and

    3. Smoothly composed with a nice flow, not jumping around sporadically or jazzy, and

    4. Lots of trippy or original effects, blended perfectly into the music and sometimes progressively morphed into completely different effects seamlessly, and

    5. No vocals, just music, and

    6. The songs sometimes "get stuck" indulging in particularly good effects by morphing them and taking that effect to it's limits of possibilities before "continuing" with the song, and

    7. The songs usually have one or more climaxes and are several minutes long, and sometimes the climaxes are stretched out and morphed into something more special, and

    8. The many layers of sound in the songs are are expertly composed to compliment each other in one almost overwhelming piece of music, yet not chaotic in it's rhythm or flow.

Summary: Expertly composed entrancing energetic music with lots going on in it and good groundbreaking effects/sounds with a solidly flowing feel to it.

  • Learner's Permit: Bypass GPA law by acquiring permit in a different state, and transferring it?

This is for my daughter. I believe driving is an essential right and should not be restricted by anything unrelated to driving (ie school).

    1. Can a person acquire a permit in a state other than their state of residence?

    2. Can a permit be transferred to another state with no questions asked (without imposing the GPA law on an already acquired permit)?

If there are any restrictions in the process, is there a way around them (renting a temporary address in the state just long enough to acquire the permit, etc.)?

It would be a simple task to drive across state lines, into a state without this law, and take the test to get a permit. Then make a trip to my state's DMV to transfer the permit to my state... if the laws allow it.

  • Obamacare: Why was I denied medicaid expansion because I have family planning?

The application letter said I was denied coverage because I already have medicaid (family planning) and that my coverage would continue, but family planning only covers annual exams and birth control... not regular medical issues.

Are they going to expand family planning to cover regular issues too, or did they mistake my family planning for regular medicaid?

  • Is it illegal to mail pulverized electronic equipment?

Anyone familiar with Hughesnet realizes why every single review of their service is negative (literally, do a quick search).

I will soon be canceling service and switching to a different internet provider. Though I am not obligated to return the equipment, it is a common practice.

Would I be violating any law if I mailed the remains of the electronic unit and the dish to Hughesnet after I acquired satisfaction by destroying the equipment (via chainsaw, sledgehammer, shotgun, flaming gasoline, and crushing by fallen tree)?

Some of the contents would be burned, and possibly have jagged edges, and some remains would likely be powder.

My concern is if the package would be considered "dangerous" or possibly toxic. It is not my intention to break any laws or put anyone's well being in danger, and especially not to create "hazardous waste". It is to receive satisfaction and make a video to post on the internet to share with fellow frustrated Hughesnet customers.

I fully intend to research this subject further and even talk to an attorney before doing this. I figured this was a decent starting place though.

  • GTA 5 disappearing car fix... How many megabytes is it?

    For Xbox 360

I have HughesNet, so I have a 200 MB download limit. I am afraid to start the download without knowing if it will cause me to exceed my limit.

I am referring to the update that will fix the disappearing car glitch that causes cars stored in your garage to disappear.

I have not been able to find the file size listed on the internet.

  • Do men care more about how they will be remembered after they die, and women more about the present?

Women appear to care more about this lifetime and worry about the present, whereas men contemplate leaving their mark on the world and worry about whether or not their life matters (or rather if it will have mattered in the future).

It seems I never hear women talking about the issue of how they will be remembered by future generations, and men seem to be plagued by the thought of where they stand in the grand scheme of things.

I never hear women bring this issue up, and they seem disinterested whenever someone is discussing it. On the contrary, this is a familiar topic/thought with most men.

I am an equalist who believes that differences between the sexes are mostly nurture over nature, but is there a fundamental difference in how we view our standing in time, and in the thoughts that plague us.

  • How do you use a vintage berry juicer?

...the kind with a metal strainer that fits in a stand, and a wooden tool that does the grinding.

What specific movements are you supposed to perform?

I've tried stirring the wooden piece against the sides, rolling it around the sides, stabbing it straight down into the center of the strainer, and stabbing it down along the sides. It seems there is a more effective method of using it.

What is the intended, appropriate method?

The is concerning muscadines for muscadine juice.

  • What is the racist content in the rodeo clown's act?

Can someone point out the specific racist content in video of the rodeo clown's act?

I am a liberal democrat and I don't see how anyone can have a problem with Obama, and wish congress would stop holding back his progress, but I am unable to find any racist content in the contraversial rodeo act.

Is a bull charging someone symbolic of something historically racist, like if someone used a noose in an act? Likewise, does a broomstick have a racist past, like if someone used a whip? Is a person not supposed to wear a mask of someone if they aren't the same race as the mask, similar to the issue of black face and white face?

What is the content in question?

  • Bungalow? Cabin? Love Shack? What is this dwelling type called?

    What dwelling type is this...

It is not the official address of either occupant. The official addresses of both parties are two separate houses. However, they both stay in this third dwelling so they can be together.

It is a fully functional house, complete with kitchen, bath, and two bedrooms. It is one story tall, has standard amenities and septic system, an open roofed porch, and a two-car open carport. It is on a two acre plot. It has a wooden structure and walls with a river rock chimney.

The two occupants are indeed permanent residents who have most of their possessions there, even though they officially live at separate addresses.
