I'm going to a friends egagment event. They are from Pakistan but has lived in the states for 20 years. My friend wants me to wear a desi dress but wouldn't that be inappropriate since I'm not desi. I won't know anyone there and don't want these people wondering why the heck I'm dressed like that. Suggestions?

I'm an american and invited to attend my friends (the groom) engagement event (ringing). I will be traveling to another state for this event and I will not know anyone there other than the groom and 3 of his friends. Its being held at the brides parents house. What customs should I know? What should I wear? Things I should say or not say? I'm Italian- we greet with hug and a kiss on both cheeks with men and women, what is appropriate when I'm introduced to people?

The origanal lender reported the charge off and since its been handed down to company after company. Is it beneficial to settle with these "other companies" and how will that help my credit report even tho its the original lender that reported?

How long does credit cards stay on your report? Is there any advantage or disadvantage in settling on a credit card that is due to fall off in 1-2years?

I'm gonna call pool service but could this be something maojor?????

Is it the camera ordisk? I never had this problem with my old Kodak and same SD card.

Usually after I insert the disk, it autmatically pops up but now I noticed the icon under my computer for 'Removable disk" is gone??????

I have a credit card from HSBC that i got to help rebuild credit, had it 2 years and always paid early and more than current amount do. They have discontinued this credit card and want to transfer to orchard bank, with same terms and conditions as stated in previous letter. now recieved letter as of december rates will increase by 5% but I have the option to opt out and close the account. What the hell, so much for building credit! Dont they have to honer the original contract? could they realy just cancel it like that just cause they dont want it?

Something seems shady at HSBC card services, they are switching some if not all of their customers to Orchard bank. I called and asked what this is all about and all they kept saying is this was an "internal business decision." She wouldn't or couldn't explain and when I asked to talk to a manager she said I can't. ??????? Anyone know whats this all about?

My score is still poor and that is even with being current on my credit card and paying my car loan off early. I have a few neg. accounts that that are closed and have been transferred to other debt collectors and will probly remain on my report for quite some time yet. Anyway, will paying the closed accounts increase my score? Also, I have paying my bills on time and so on but what else could I do to raise my score?

Taking Adderall for ADD while in college, it showed up on my drug test (new job) as I knew it would, that's why I disclosed that info and brought my script with me but they said they didn't need it. Anyway, 3 days later they called me and asked if I was on medication.......I'm like duh, yeah "I told them that before." So I went there today to show them my script and they said okay thanks. I'm very concerned cause they didn't say anything els. Could they denie me the job cause of that?

My six year-old daughter has been having under arm odor. She takes a bath every other night and she is properly washed. However, she will still get this underarm odor as adults do. Is this common? Isn't she to young to wear deodorent because of all the chemicals in it?
