Are there any private membership dog parks in the Houston area?
We have a dog that's aggressive to other dogs and would like to find a place where we can take her for some off-leash exercise without having to worry about encountering strange dogs. Does anyone know of private membership dog parks in the Houston area?
8 AnswersDogs9 years agoI'm undergoing radiation for early breast cancer. I'm curious as to how the markings on my chest are used?
Fo example, some of the marks are simply vertical, one is horizontal and some look like crosses. How are these various marks used to define treatment area?

We'd like to replace our laminate kitchen countertop with granite tiles. I've been told that if the laminate is in good condition, the tiles can be put on right on top of the laminate (with the right prep work).
Have any of you redone your own kitchen counters? We're scared, as we're not terribly handy around the house. Any advice (other than "don't do it!")?
3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)1 decade agoWhen walking your dog, how do you handle loose dogs you encounter?
I have a German shepherd and a shepherd/rottweiler mix. My mixed breed dog is fairly aggressive toward other dogs (we're working on this). When I take her out for a walk, I occasionally encounter dogs running loose and it's a problem when they're determined to come up to her.
If the other dog doesn't behave aggressively, it's not a huge problem; but one day we encountered a husky type dog that had aggressive body language: tail up and stiff, hackles raised, direct eye contact and coming at us straight on. My dog went ballistic and I had a big problem on my hands.
I used to carry pepper spray, but I really prefer not to use this if I can avoid it. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

User name "Razwell R" is militant about the "cholesterol myth". Just wondering what your expertise, if any, is in this field?
