  • How can we stop the temperature of our hot water changing?

We have a Worcester 24i combi boiler.

When we run the hot water or the shower the temperature fluctuates from really hot to really cold. As you can imagine this is fairly annoying!

What could be causing it and how do we fix it?

  • Where's the best place to rise bread in a cold flat?

I'm trying to make my own break (no breadmaker) but my flat is really cold so it's taking an age to rise. What can I do to make it rise quicker? Where can I find the warmest spot in my flat?

There's no central heating so I can't pop it in front of the heater.

  • Ways to entertain a dog without food?

I'm taking a trip to visit my parents and the dogs are going to be in kennels for 6 hours on the ferry. The older one (Sparky) will be fine, he's done it before. The younger one (Kota) gets travel sick in cars and on buses, so he's going to be horrible on the ferry. Aparently it's going to be rough crossing too...

Anyway, Sparky will have stuffed kongs and rawhide bones to keep him busy but I don't want to give Kota food before/on the ferry. the less he has in his stomach the less there is to come back up!

What can I give him that will entertain him that isn't food? I have a new Softie toy for him but that's got limited entertainment value when you're in a crate by yourself.

I do have travel sickness pills from the vet but I've never tried them before so don't know if/how much I can trust them.

    Cheers!

  • What length is good for swimming?

I'm a 21 year old female, slim build. I've recently started swimming and have no idea what distance I should be aiming for as a "normal" amount. I'm not looking to gosuper fast or be amazing, I just want to stay fit.

I currently spend between 25 and 30 minutes in the pool over my lunch break and can do 30-40 lengths in that time. It's a 16m pool.

I swim on my back, if that makes any difference.

What distance should I be aiming for?

What is a good "average" distance for someone my age/sex/build?

    Thank you!
