Ever since (presumably, since I can only speak of my personal experience) anyone can first remember, there has been an observer behind the scenes, and could arguably have been there since birth.

It isn't your thoughts, it just observes thoughts.

It isn't emotions, just observes them.

It isn't the personality, just observes it as it changes throughout life.

It isn't sight, touch, hearing, taste, or any other sensory input, but it observes them.

Constantly observing with no perceived action, agenda, desires, etc.

It's ever present, even in dreams, and ever unchanging....but my question isn't what the observer isn't, I'm curious to analyze the perspectives of what the observer IS.

Depending on how you answer will determine your answer to this question: If there were no conscious observers, would the universe exist?

Please explain.

I had a very intense lucid dream the day of January 10th. I became lucid (conscious) right at the outset of the dream, and it unfolded quite strangely. At no point was I in control of the dream setting, or anything in the dream for that matter. There was this girl that kept my attention, and she told me that we were going to meet in the near future. I asked her to give me some information, so that I would be able to question her in waking life, which she did. As well, I have not had the optimal satisfaction of actually meeting this dream character in real life, nor in another dream (lucid or normal).

I have not been able to find any information on the general meaning of this type of lucid dream, so any interpretations, information, or links are greatly appreciated! Please add in where you have obtained the information, so that I may research it further.

What are some good occult books for beginners? As in informational, to get a good understanding of it, and for sound and sturdy facts about it.

I periodically get a cases of sleep paralysis, which at first was a very frustrating and frightening occurrence. I have recently began controlling this through recognizing it and subsequently making myself relax.

Twice now I have been able to enter into lucid dreams, which I usually awaken from because of the excitement from controlling my dream.

And again twice, on two separate occasions, I have had the luck of trying to achieve an OBE (out of body experience). Once, as I was concentrating on leaving my body, I saw a very bright light. It was nothing similar to experiences that people claim when having a near death experience. (Imagine looking at the sun with your eyes closed, yet without the redness of the light shining through the eyelids. This is the best way I can describe it). The second time, it felt as if I came spiraling out of my right eye. I could see my bedroom in its full waking form, but then my eyes felt as if they were starting to open, and it ended just as abruptly as it had began.

So here is my question:

With the first experience, was I moving close to an OBE? Is that how it can start? Did I not do something, or did I do something wrong? Any advice for my next attempt during an onset of sleep paralysis? What was the bright light that I was witnessing.

Also, considering the second time. I know it may have been a dream, but does that relate to anyone else's experience? And why my right eye? Is there a way to strengthen my "skills" for an OBE?

Any advice and shared experiences is greatly welcome. I have done extensive research, but nothing seems to quench the thirst of my questions and curiosity. THANK YOU ahead of time!

I'm a disabled veteran, which now provides me with a monthly check (not solely enough to live off of) and health/dental benefits... So money and/or benefits do not factor heavily into this.

I'm looking to buy some after market headers for my Toyota Tacoma 2006, but I don't know much about the exhaust system.

I want a more aggressive sound along with the horsepower that headers bring. I'm currently looking at some doug thorley headers, and they seem great with a low price, but will I need cats to go with it?

i have the samsung rogue with verizon. when i send a text message, in the inbox on top of the message icon (the envelope) there will be either a red check mark (similar to the verizon symbol) or a purple arrow pointing upwards. does anyone know what these mean???

before you tell me to check the manual, i have already checked the manual that came with the phone and the two online manuals on verizons website. as well, i have called customer support of both verizon and samsung...no answers! wtf!!!

Ok, so I'm doing a research paper on steroids, the three main types: sustanon, deca, and dianabol (dbol). I already know a few things about each, such as sustanon contains four types of testosteron, both short term and slightly long term, deca is long term with lasting muscle, and dbol is for quick build, but low stats for keeping mass.

what i dont know:

how long does one use each for?

what are ways of stacking (combining use) of each one in the muscle community?

and how much of each should be used and how frequently?
