I have a Nikon D5100 & Bower SFD926N Digital Shoe Mount Flash. I'm trying to teach myself photography & get out the auto mode of shooting. However the minute I switch my camera to Manual mode or Aperture, shutter.. My flash stops working. Does this mean I need a Nikon flash instead? And if so I'm looking at either the sb 600 or 700, but the 600 seems more in my price range.

I do all types of pictures with my camera from indoor with a backdrop, outdoor portraits & events with low light.

I'm trying to make several rectangles in photoshop cs4 of the same size, so a identical copy/duplicate is what I'm trying to do. However, the original rectangle keeps vanishing when I try to create a new one. What am I doing wrong??

I'm a soon to be graphic design student. I'm newly enrolled at DeVry and the classes don't care which computer is used as long as you get the Adobe software suite. But I noticed at a community college all their classes are taught using Macintosh only. What is the difference? I need a new system so I need to decide which to get for my future goals.

Is it possible to go into a home based business with a close friend as my partner? Just brainstorming as she is majoring in graphic arts & web design & mines is sales & marketing. My home would be the physical location for the business, so would this be difficult when it come down to reporting our incomes earned and taxation? Brought the samsung 3600 blu ray player and thought I would be able to use it with my current samsung dvd home theatre speakers by just simply swapping the dvd player with the blu ray player, but the speakers jacks are totally different. I attended 2 schools at once, a university & a community college. I receive financial aid & grants for the university, however made self payment arrangements with the community college. I'm trying to take most of my general ed's at the community college. I was receiving financial aid from the community college, but I thought once I transferred to the university, the community college wouldn't process my aid. However, they continues to do this and the financial aid adviser at both my schools say I shouldn't be receiving aid at both. So, I gave the check back to the community college and explained to them that I don't want the aid and that I use aid with another school. Now I can't believe for the second time this year they sent me yet another refund check in a different amount.Plus they looked at me like I was crazy when I returned the last check. I don't understand and neither school is of help to my ???? of why I keep getting these refund checks?? I'm returning them for fear of screwing up my aid. Is this the right thing to do or should I be keeping these checks? I'm confused!

Bahamas and Miami what should I prepare for weather wise? Will we still be able to swim on the cruise boat or get in the beach water at the Bahamas or in Miami beach when we visit in in mid Feb? I hear it's in the 70's but that sounds pretty cold to get in the water.

I don't know much about football, but my son made the junior high football team. I'm excited for him, but have no idea of what type of plays or playing time he will have in the games. My first year trying to grow a tomatoe garden and after finding black area's on my tomatoes I found it's called blossom end rot. It's on my green and red tomatoes. Our weather is averaging around mid 60 to mid 70 degree weather now, so I don't know what more to do with my tomatoes. The one's without the blackness are still green and rather small. I haven't picked not one tomatoe, guess I planted them too late.

Are, they BER ones safe to eat from the top if I harvest them now or should I just pull them off and dispose of them?
