I am about to make a big purchase but they do not accept american express, only american express checks (i cannot use this option because the APR on that are ridiculous).

I want to get points for using my american express. What are the ways around it so that I can still use the american express to get points. For example, I was thinking to buy travelers checks with my amex card, but they won't allow that. Buy a visa check card, etc.

I just replaced the cd/dvd drive for my desktop computer, but I need an audio cable to connect the drive to my audio card. Where can I buy these cables? Radioshack, Office Depot, OfficeMax? Target?

After we painted the house and everything, it seems that some people poured some paint into our toilet bowls and tried flushing it down. Some paint are still there, anyone know how to clean this off easily - preferably without scrubbing!
