  • What's a good android ereader? ?

Has anyone found a reliable ereader on the android market (Google play) that lets you take footnotes within the ebook and accepts epub, zip files, etc? The default play books is bereft of these basic functions, as is aldiko, but I'm hoping there's some hidden gem I haven't stumbled upon. Thanks

  • Anybody know of a unique, meaningful song that could be turned into a Shakespearean sonnet?

This is for a class project. I'm doing the hard part: translating the song into a sonnet. But first I need something to work with.

Perhaps something along the lines of this:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63XFJnk-Nzk

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fckfszdLrs&ob=av3e

Heck, it could even be about love. Most of the sonnets are, anyway :p

    All help is appreciated :)

  • Does Russian have a future perfect tense?

I am Russian of birth, but, seeing as how I left the country with a first grade education, I certainly would not have been able to employ a future perfect tense (if there is one). A future perfect in English would sound something like: "By this time next week, I will have served 20 community service hours."

    Thanks.

  • What is the absolute MAXIMUM time a president can spend in office?

My world history class has been debating over the maximum amount of time that a president can serve in office (in years). Obviously, the 22nd amendment states that a president can only serve for 2 terms and they don't have to be consecutive, which is a total of 8 years, but I've also heard that there's some loophole where if a vice president takes over before the president has reached the half-way point of his first term, then that president (formally vp), is allowed to stay in office for a maximum of 10 years. Is this true or false? How does one figure out such a loophole? Where does does it say that (or not say it) in the constitution?

  • How do you make a function that has an asymptotic/infinite discontinuity continuous?

Find the value of k that would make the function continuous in each case:

    h(x) = sin[(5*pi*x) -1]/(2x-1), x is not equal to 1/2

    k, x =1/2

that was a piecewise function, by the way :p

    thank you

  • If black hair is dominant, why am I blonde?

My mother has had blonde, wavy hair all her life and my dad currently has black, curly/wavy hair--depending on the length. However, my mom has told me that he had lighter hair when he was young. He does not dye it. How is this possible? And if he has dark hair, should I not have dark hair as well? Will my hair eventually become dark like my dad's? Just a side note; I'm not adopted.

Also, my birth parents divorced and my mom married this man with black, curly hair, but when they had a son, he had blonde hair like mom's! He is five years old now, and he still has the same blonde hair. How is this possible??

  • Which element on the periodic table has the smallest atomic radius?

Is it Helium or Fluorine? I tried googling it, but it only gave me links to yahoo questions about specific elements. I know the trend for atomic radii is that it increases going down and left, but is there some exception with the Noble Gases?

  • Can you derive the sine sum/difference formula from the cosine formula?

I've constructed the proof for the cos difference formula

    cos(A-B) = cosAcosB + sinAsinB

using the distance formula, but I'm not sure how to derive the sine sum/difference formula from this. I've thought about using a co-function identity, but that seems to have taken me nowhere.

    Can someone help? Greatly appreciated.
