Mp3 sucks. Sure it is small, but so is ogg or aac, and with todays tech, we have more than enough space for flac or wav, so why keep on using mp3?

Found this a few days ago and he seems to be good, but theres something off about it. Maybe it is just me

So far it has been between Korn - Blind, Meshuggah - I am Colossus, Pantera - Domination, and Extermination Dismemberment - Gutted Face.

Lamb of God and Gojira seem to have some pretty damn heavy songs too

Looking for common types of synth noises and structure, also any defining songs of the genre, preferably instrumental.

(I just want to play with my synths while being productive)

I have never been into hip hop or pop, so I cannot see why it is so widely appreciated. I would like to know what specific faucets of the genres you find to be the most desireable, so I can further my understanding of the genre and as music as a whole.

Nobody is wrong for listening to what they enjoy, I am not saying you are bad because we do not share tastes, I am simply trying to enjoy it better myself and perhaps translate the knowledge to other genres of music

I love darker stories, such as those of Lovecraft, and very much enjoy the writings of Mikael Akerfeldt. Often, though I cannot seem to find the words or develop a theme well.

So far, I find metaphors and irony play a big role, but also being somewhat vague helps too.

Any tips on the strategy behind writing poetry such as this, and specific ways to practice certain angles of the composition?
