  • Printing over the internet?

I have an office with a public IP address and 192.168.0.x network behind the router. I want to be able to print to printer on my network from the internet. Can someone lead me to a good solution that is NOT Google Cloud Printing, since that service does not allow me to specify which tray on the printer to print to.

    Thanks!

  • How to block MAC WIFI?

  • How does MAC Pro built in WIFI work?

I just found an unknown WIFI ssid in my office, and I found out that one of the MAC Pros we have on site has a built in WIFI.

The software says that the self-assigned IP address is 169.254.154.84 but my office network is a 192.168.1.X network.

That wifi "device" is not showing up in any of my IP sniffing.

How can I know that it is going on, esp if someone decides to hide the SSID?

And how does it work without a network IP address from my system?

  • HDMI ports on TV no longer work for Roku?

I've been using a Roku 3 on my TV for several months now. All of a sudden I was getting the HDCP handshake error. I'll try different cables and different ports and all have the same error. I took the Roku to another TV and it worked fine. So then I took a different Roku and hook it up to the original TV, and it also didn't work on any of the HDMI ports. My question is what could have happened to the HDMI ports that don't allow the Roku to work, but does allowed my cable box and DVD player to continue working.

  • How would you respond to and help my wife's issue?

"This is why I don’t think 100+ lbs weight loss has even made much of a difference. I can pretty much just wear the same stuff I’ve always been wearing."

I want to help her, but she is convinced she looks no difference and cannot figure out what to wear that makes her look good. I want to buy her clothes, but everytime I try to ask/figure out her blouse size, she tells me that its never the same between brands, anywhere from Large to 3XL. HELP!!!

  • Once foreclosure has started, what is the process for stopping it and trying to restart paying for your home?

I stopped paying for my house in Sept 2011. I am at the point now where I will be able to afford the monthly payments again. The last paperwork I got from the bank says something about owing $58k in back payments. My wife and I would like to get things back in order, but she is crazy concerned about how much longer we have before the bank starts to throw us out and I am concerned as to the process for approaching the bank about getting bacjk in gear.

  • Is it possible to adopt a 20yo woman who has a mom?

I would like to adopt the girl who is living with me. I have been paying all her expenses and putting her through college and for all intents and purposes, she and I have a great father-daughter relationship. I would like to legally adopt her, but I have heard that the mother would have to give up all legal rights to her, and none of us want that. But her real father died years ago, and she considers me her dad. Her mom also remarried but he has no interest / intention of adopting my "daughter". And neither of them support her whatsoever.

Does anyone know if there is a legal way for me to adopt her without taking anything away from her mom?

  • Question about hardwood floor installation?

Going to install hardwood in 2 rooms and a hallway in my house, totaling 500 Sq Ft.

I am stuck between deciding what width wood to get, with 2.25" width costing 1/2 of what 4.75" width costs.

My question is, is 4.75" width hardwood considerably less work to install than 2.25" width? In a 15' wide room, it is 37 planks wide for 4.75" vs. 80 planks for 2.25"

Im not sold on the particular look of either yet. Id be just as happy with either width from that standpoint, but I am concerned that cutting and laying down twice as many solid hardwood boards is going to be twice the amount of work and take twice the time...
