  • Supplement for Memory ??

    I'm 35 - I don't remember things as well as I use to.

For example - I can be introduced to someone, even someone I enjoy talking with, and forget their name by the end of the conversation.

I've *never* been great with names - but I think my short term memory is deteriorating.

Also - there are times when I've gone to the store because I'm out of butter or syrup or something - do my shopping - and forget to pick up what I knew I needed the most.

I'm wondering if there is a natural supplement that might help ??

  • Rat breeds for Feeders ??

    Hi -

I'm looking to breed feeder rats for my snakes.

They will be humanely euthanized - but a snake's gotta eat, and rat prices are going up around here.

I know with mice, there are certain lab strains that work better for breeding - they are less likely to eat their young, less likely to be overly aggressive when removing young, etc. - I was wondering if the same was true of rats, if there are some lab strains that are particularly well suited for this.

Also, is it best to allow one female to raise her young by herself, or it best to have a couple females together? And for the health of the female, how long after weening should I wait before breeding? Health of females is more important to me than mass production.

    Thanks

  • Have you tried weed?

Weed Golden Ale - by Mt Shasta Brewing Co. in Weed, CA

It is the best microbrew I've had in a long time.

I believe they have a pale ale too, I haven't found it for sale anywhere yet.

  • Christians - Do you think snakes are evil?

I'm a Christian - and I own a bunch of snakes. Mostly kings, some corns, some hognose, some gophers, 1 python.

I've run into many Christians who for whatever reasons are freaked out by them and think they are evil. One even questioned my Christianity because I have so many of them.

Do you think they are evil? Why or why not?

  • Atheist - can I get away with burglary?

Let's say I went in to Radio Shack and I stole a stereo, caught on video tape, clearly mean.

While I'm awaiting my trial, a group of Hells Angels beat the snought out of me just because they didn't like my gay hair cut.

Should the judge let me off of my burglary charge because a group of bad people beat me up after the fact?

  • Why have you not spayed your cat ??

There are way way way to many questions here about pregnant cats and cats having had babies. These questions are clearly not from professional breeders working with specific varieties.

Every major city and probably most rural cities have to kill hundreds of kittens every year because homes for them do not exist. This adds up to thousands and thousands of cats nationwide.

Feral cat populations are causing severe ecological damage.

So, why aren't you spaying your cats? Is it the cost? Is it the time to get the animal in to the vet? What are the reasons for this, and how can society make it easier for you to do the right thing?

  • Moving Daffodil Bulb?

Last fall I built myself a raised flower bed, bought high quality soil, etc. and planted 40 bulbs in it - 5 varieties, 8 bulbs per variety, planted in two clusters of 4 bulbs per variety.

Shortly after planting them the neighbors dog decided fresh dirt was fun to dig in and spread the bulbs. I put them back - and got them mostly right, but come spring and they came up - one bulb was planted in the wrong spot in a cluster with a different variety. I left it alone, it bloomed and the bloom is now finished - and I've marked it, but for aesthetic reasons I want to move it to the cluster where it belongs for next year.

When is it safest to dig it up and move it?

  • Were they protecting me or checking me out?

I was riding my bicycle through an industrial part of north Redding, CA a few years ago. Something happened as there was a police helicopter and lots of police cars. One pulled behind me, one to the side of me, and one in front of me - boxing me in. I kept on riding and after a few minutes they pulled away. I thought maybe they were confirming that I wasn't who they were looking for, but a friend said no - they would have put on the lights, pulled me over, and asked for my ID were that the case.

What were they doing? Were they safely escorting me out of the area where I may have been in danger, or were they checking me out?
