I am pretty good with computers first of all, but I have never come across this problem yet. I recently came across a common boot error in Windows XP with my computer that HAL.dll was in error. Usually I just boot up my PC with the Windows XP CD that I have and it loads up the basic drivers and goes to the recovery options in which case I hit the R key and I fix the HAL.dll or other boot file that is corrupt. This time however I can't get to spot where it asks for recovery options at all...it loads the first basic drivers that it needs in Windows XP and when it gets to the file loaders for the FAT32 and the NTFS loaders my computer completely reboots again to the POST sequence. I can't get to the part where it asks if you want to reinstall windows, repair (the R key) area...just before it gets there my computer keeps rebooting in a viscious cycle.

Anyone have any suggestions for this ?

It is known that the Stanley cup was originally awarded to the greatest team in hockey in North America each and every year until the NHL took it over in 1926.

With that in mind, since there was no Stanley cup awarded in the NHL in 2005 due to the NHL hockey strike, I have often wondered what if the cup should have been contested that year between the other two major hockey leagues in North America....being the AHL and the CHL.

Furthermore, knowing that the London Knights won the CHL memorial cup in that year with arguably the greatest CHL team ever to play in that league and knowing that the Philadelphia Phantoms won the AHL Calder cup in that year, who would have won in a best of 7 game series for the Stanley cup that year ? London Knights or Philadelphia Phantoms ?

I am repairing my non-functioning windshield wipers on my 1972 corvette stingray. I have looked all over the internet for a wiring schematic for it. Does anyone have one they can email me or a link for one on the internet ? Thanks

I have a 1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe with the following:

350 cubic inch base V8 motor

4 speed transmission

Air conditioning

Deluxe leather interior

Power windows

CD/mp3/iPod sound system (however I still have the original AM/FM stereo player in storage)

37,500 original miles

I just recently upgraded the ignition system with a MSD electronic ignition system. It runs perfectly and starts every time. It has been repainted once in 1991 with the original paint colour (Mille Miglia red). I have owned it since 2000 (my dad was the original owner and gave me the car when he died). I have all invoices showing any work done on it. I have had it rated by the classic car association here as a 2+ condition car. It would be a number 1 (show car) however I use it as a driver in the summer time. I store it heated storage every winter, it has never seen rain nor snow.

What could I sell something like this for if I needed the money ASAP, ie. sell within a couple weeks or so.

I am looking to buy a larger sedan later this fall. What do you think I should get, both are 2009 models:

1. Nissan Maxima with the premium and technology package, price $ 44800 Canadian plus taxes or,

2. Hyudai Genesis with the premium and technology packages, price $ 44,950 Canadian plus taxes.

They are both relatively the same price. I test drove both of them. I find the Genesis much smoother and quieter and I find the Maxima sportier. The genesis has a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty and the Maxima only a 3 year one. I am stuck, but I only have money for one of these...what one ?

I own a lake-front cottage near Grand Bend, Ontario Canada that was recently appraised at $ 575,000.

My question quite simply is should I sell it now because from what I understand real estate, especially luxury real estate like cottages are at their highest point right now for resale and they are expected to flatten out or even go down in prices over the next few years due to the uncertain economy. Or do I keep it and ride the calm wave of the upcoming downturn in the economy and hope that after the downturn cottage prices go up even higher in the future. The cottage is only costing me maintenance at this time and property taxes and utilities, other than that it is completely paid for with no mortgages or loans against it.

Do I keep it and earn basically no return on the thing over the next 3 years anyhow until the economy turns around and prices head back up or sell it now and put the over $ 500k into a mutual fund or a interest bearing GIC account and make some return on the thing

I am considering one of these two cars for purchase in about 2 weeks time. They both cost pretty much the same (within $ 500 of each other) and they both pretty lease for the same price (within $ 6.00 per month of each other). I know the Accord holds its value much better and I know that the Altima has the CVT (continuously variable transmission) which is better. Other than that I drove both vehicles and they seem to accelerate, brake, handle and feel the same. I found the transmission much smoother in the Altima due to the fact that it does not need to change gears due to the CVT technology. I found the Accord had a little more room in the back seat though. What do you think? and why?
