  • What has been the greatest improvement in equality for American Americans since 1963?

I have to write it for school and I'm stuck. Any ideas?

We also have to argue the greatest setback and I'm going to argue the wage gap.

  • How would this be handled legally?

My character has just had the word "******" keyed on the side of his car by a group of bullies after being outed by an ex. There's various pieces of evidence: school cameras caught it, there were eyewitnesses and one boy bragged about it on social media.

I don't know where to look for how this would be handled as it is a hate crime (right?) and on school property. The story takes place in a middle-class suburb in Pennsylvania

  • How long should I give my fancy rats to get along?

Okay, I think I'm just worrying too much but they don't seem to be getting along. My one girl, Daisy, who I had first, has now retreated to the third level of the cage and won't come down. Her back is arched and she seems pissed. Before, I thought everything was okay as Buttercup and Daisy were doing the normal things rats do to establish dominance (hump, pee on each other, wrestle, etc.) and that even though Daisy didn't seem happy about it, I figured she would get over it. It's only been a couple of hours but I'm still worried. I figured I'll let them sort it out for 48 hours or so and if there isn't any change, I'll send Buttercup back and get a new rat. Thoughts?

  • Did Harvey Milk and Scott Smith ever get back together?

I just saw the movie Milk and I was wondering if they ever got back together after they broke up. Anyone know?

  • Should I be right to be angry that my dad refused to take my dying hamster to the vet?

My hamster is dead. She was such a sweet little thing and she suffered so much. I begged him to do it, to pay for it myself but he didn't. I think she had wet tail. She wouldn't open her eyes; she was sluggish; her body was bloated and it looked like she couldn't go to the bathroom; she eventually stopped eating. When I saw her alive last, she was trembling and her breathing was labored. Maybe he's right and it would be a "waste of time" but at least we would have done something. Maybe managed the pain. My friend says the blood on his hand.

I'm so, so mad at him right now. Do I have the right to be?

  • What happens when you tell someone you're suicidal?

I'm suicidal and I want to tell someone because I don't want to have to kill myself when it would hurt my loved ones so much (even though they'd probably be better off without me). But I'm scared. What will they do to me? Will they send me to some psych ward?

  • What's funnier: Waterworks the peeing dog or Flatulence the farting dog?

I'm writing a family comedy and I can't decide which is funnier. They get the dog free from a coworker and think it's great until...

I already know about Walter the Farting Dog so I'm thinking about Waterworks. Unless, of course, one can think of something better :D

  • What are some painting principles and design elements?

You know, contrast and specific techniques?

  • What are some painting techniques?

You know, stuff like chiaroscuro, contrast, etc. I'm a writer and my character is a painter in AP painting. What kinds of things should she know? I've been doing some research on some types of painting like surrealism (her favorite kind).

I've been trying to do some research but I have a difficult time of finding anything. Links would be helpful too.

    Thanks!

  • Should I skip school Friday?

I don't believe that the world will end but some people do. And I have no idea what they're going to choose to do. Nothing will probably happen besides a few pranks but still.... Should I play it safe?

P.S. My town is also called Newtown...

  • What are some jobs for those who like to write creatively?

The jobs I've found look really boring. Being a freelancer looks fun but it looks like it would be hard to make money off of that? Any extra suggestions? I'm also into psychology and history.

  • What's the point of college?

I'm trying to care. Really, I am. Everyone is pressuring me and telling me it's important. I've just lost motivation for school and all of this. Before I told myself it was a means to an end but now... I don't see the end as important. I mean, what's college really? Being loaded up with debt, going to school for four extra years, getting equipped for a job that you hate? I feel like there has to be more to life than that. That there has to be a way to LIVE. I just don't know what that is.

  • What's it like having bipolar disorder? Having a loved one with it?

The love interest in my story has Bipolar I and the medication that he's taken so far hasn't worked.

Answer the question generally. However, if you could answer the below questions too, I would appreciate it.

    1) What's it like switching between mania to depression and the other way around? Is it obvious?

    2) What are some of the delusions that come on with full-on mania?

    3) What are your experiences when you tell people that you or a loved one has bipolar disorder?

    4) When did you develop bipolar disorder/ noticed the signs?

    5) What have your relationships been like with family and friends because of this? Or with that bipolar person?

    Thanks!

  • In my story, what should my couple break up over?

My main character still hates her and thinks she's a *****. She was the one to break up the relationship. Any particular reason why feelings might be so strong? I've thought of cheating, but that almost feels like it took the easy way out. I need a good backstory.

Note: Will accept your personal reasons for breakups

  • Was I justified in doing this?

Okay, so I found an old friend of mine and decided to add him on FB. I then noticed some of the weird things he was doing/ saying. He posted a lot of statuses about porn and sexual stuff, but I let that go. Then I noticed how he was saying pervy things to girls on FB and how he was pretty much stalking this one girl. Creepy, but I decided that he was probably doing it for attention. Then he messaged me about socialism and at first it seemed like a normal conversation. That was until he started talking about how he supported Hitler and how while he wouldn't kill Jews, gays, blacks, he would kill "useless people". He looks like a lonely kid, so I'm feeling guilty. Yet he just really creeped me out.

  • Wouldn't nudist colonies be unhygenic?

I just saw this 20/20 thing and I can't help but wonder. Not trying to be rude but what happens when guys get boners and girls get their periods? I heard they have towels to sit on, but would that do the trick?

Like I said, I'm really not trying to be rude but I'm just curious.
