I am a rabbit breeder/lover for many years now. I have several different kinds of rabbits. I love ALL rabbits! I am a member of the ARBA(American Rabbit Breeders Association). I have read over 30 different books on caring for and raising and breeding rabbits. My favorite rabbit book is, Storey's Guide To Raising Rabbits. I am a member of several Yahoo groups for rabbit owners/breeders. I am intersted in anything and everything about raising or caring for rabbits.

  • I am new to fish keeping, other than the occasional gold fish or Betta. I am wanting to start breeding Angelfish.?

I am not planning on starting until I get enough info first. Anyone have any books, videos, websites, or anything else that would be informative would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Can Medicaid take my Grandmothers home place even if she never went to a nursing home?

She put my name alongside hers on the deed to her 1/2 acre of land and an old run down trailer years ago. The floors are rotting out as well as the ceiling in several places. It's not in a subdivision or anything. Just an old country home place. She didn't live there for the last few years of her life. It's not really worth anything to anyone, I just don't want to loose it. She was on Medicaid for a long time, but never went to a nursing home and was never on Hopsice or anything else like that. Thanks in advance.

  • How long to leave my Razr M in rice?

My son dropped his Razr M phone in a mud puddle over the weekend. It was completely submersed. He did snatch it out asap. I took it and turned it off and tried to knock any water out of it. I brought it home and covered it completely in rice. It WAS working fine when i turned it off, after he dropped it. Just wondering how long i should leave it in the rice b4 we turn it back on? Thanks.

  • Help with Chronic Kidney infection/uti?

I had my first uti in May of 2010. I went to the ER with back pain, bloody urine, and severe pain while urinating. I have had several uti's since then. Finally my Dr sent me to a urologist. I was on over 30 different meds in about 6 months. Nothing worked. Finally I got tired of goimg to the urologist every two weeks, peeing in a cup, hearing "yep, u still have an infection", and getting a new prescription. It was costing me over $150 and they didn't know why I was getting them. I gave up on dr's and started trying differeny herbs. I finally found that when i felt myself getting a uti, i could take some Probiotics and that would get rid of it for a couple months. The probiotics worked great until the week before Christmas. I went to the ER with what i thought was the flu. I had severe nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, and generally felt awful. I found out i had a kidney infection. I was given antibiotics and an iv and was sent home with a round of antibiotics. New years day i was back in the ER with the same kidney infection. I drink lots of water, hardly and carbonated beverages. I try to eat a healthy diet most of the time. I have watched my sodium and sugar intake for years. What can I do to keep from getting these awful kidney infections? What can i do to get rid of the one I still have?

  • How to treat a UTI at home?

I have had a UTI since May of 2010. I have been on a different antibiotic, every month, since August of 2010. Nothing has worked. I have started going to a urologist. They said they do not want me to come back until August, ( I have saw them 6 times, and they have given me more antibiotics) but they don't know how to treat my UTI for good, they are just concerned about cancer. I have started taking probiotics, cranberry pills, and drinking smoothies made with Keifer and eating more yogurt. This hurts! Is there anything else I can be doing, since the dr's have given up on me? Thanks.

  • How do I turn someone in for animal cruelty when I do not have their address?

I called animal control in my area and they told me that they could not go out to a home without the exact address. I do not have an address, but can give exact directions, but they said this would not work. I do have a phone number and a name. Is there anything I can do to help these poor animals?

  • How long does it take for cockatiels to get used to handling?

I have had two cockatiels for about three weeks now. The breeder I bought them from does not handle her birds. She feeds and waters them and that is all. She does not interact with her birds. She has them in a building out behind her house so they are not used to people except as a provider of nourishment. About how long will it take before my birds get used to being around people? Also, I have been getting them out of their cage every day and sitting them on a bar stool in a sunny window with food and water in the seat of the chair. I have quite a time getting the birds to come out of their cage, but once they do they are fine. Should I keep "forcing" them out of their cage every day or should I let them stay in the cage until they come out on their own? I never close the cage doors. They are always open, except when we leave home for a while. I started closing them when we left last week because I came home to two missing birds. I was afraid they might get hurt or something without me there to make sure of where they go. Also any advice on how to easily switch them from a full seed diet to pellets would be great. Thanks.

  • Aggravating neighbors for 9 years now. What can I do?

I have lived in my home for nine years now. Every year on July 4th and New Years the neighbors set a pack of fireworks off on my front porch at 2 or 3am. I have called the police out several times. The police do not do anything other than write up a report. I have talked to the DA(district attorney). The DA says it is not arson under Alabama law. She said it can not be labeled as harassment either. I go to church and try to be a good person, so short of stooping to their level, what can I legally do? These are adults doing this, not kids. I have tried to talk to them. Nothing works. Please help. I need any legal advice I can get. Thanks.

  • I just got 5 hamsters and need to know how to care for them and what kind they are?

The lady I got them from had cancer and couldn't care for them anymore, so I said I would take them. It started off, I was going to get rabbits(which I know), then the hammies got added in when I went to pick them up. I gave some(2 males and 1 momma with 3 babies) away on the way home when I had to stop for food for them. So that left me with 4 females and 1 male. I have researched online some, but would love to chat with an experienced, long term owner if possible. I just don't want to hurt these little guys. I have 100 questions like: What should they eat? I bought hamster/gerbil food on the way home. It was all I could find. Is it ok, or do they need something else? What kind are they? I can email pics, but don't know how to post them here. I usually answer rabbit questions, so I don't know much about asking questions here. Do they need hay or anything to keep their digestion in good order? Rabbits do, but hammies? What should they NEVER eat? What should they eat a lot of? How much and when to feed? I feed my rabbits at night. Are they nocturnal like rabbits? Do they need a dish to drink from or can they have a small bottle? What do I give them to chew on? Is it ok to give twigs off my apple branches I give my rabbits? I've read certain kinds can't be kept together and will fight to the death. The lady I got them from had all the males together and all the females in another cage. Is this ok since they seem to get along ok? I have about 1,000 more questions. Can someone please help? Thanks so much. Please send a private message if you can help me.
