  • I need some advise please...?

i´ve been going out with a boy a couple of times and i think i like him but today he told me that he has a tattoo of his ex girlfriend´s name on his chest. what do you think it means when somebody does that?

he says that it was the most stupid thing that he has done.

his relationship with that girl ended two years ago and it ended terribly. he really hates her right now and he says that he tried to remove the tattoo but it could not be done and that he´s very sorry.

until now i didnt mind that he used to be in love with this girl because it seems like he´s done with her and it´s completely over but i don´t know how i feel about a tattoo. can you please help me with this?

  • Can you help me understand this...?

English is my second language so the sentence structures in literary texts confuse me. I have some questions about these sentences and Thank you in advance for helping me.

    1. There was a gritty yellow soap in one corner and a piece of flannel stained with a blue bag in another.

I know the first part, the second part i don't understand, the flannel was stained and it was in the blue bag?!

    2. And plain to be heard in the early quiet was the sound of creek in the paddocks running in and out of sandy hollows.

What does the writer mean by plain and creek in the paddocks? and what is hollow exactly?

    3. Even that she left lying,

Before this sentence, she finds a comb, does this mean that she left the comb on the ground?

and even that is like even though or it's something else?

    4. Zoom! zoom! a bluebottle knocked against the ceiling; the carpet tacks had little bits of ref fluff sticking to them.

These two sentence are supposed to make sense together? i don't get it!

  • i need some explanation...?

    in this sentence:

"my knee did not bend and the leg dropped straight from the knee to the ankle without a calf, and the machine was to bend the knee and make it move as in riding a tricycle. "

I don't understand what is wrong with the leg! can somebody explain it to me please?

and this one: "the snow powdered in the fur of the foxes and the wind blew their tails.

and small birds blew in the wind and the wind turned their features."

does it mean that the snow was covering the furs and the wind moved the tails? and the birds were blowing in the wind?!!!!!!! does it refer to some kind of noise that the birds were making by blowing in the wind?

    Thank you

el tema no es tan importante pero prefiero libros de psicología o libros literarios ( novelas , cuentos cortos).
