  • My amp makes a clicking sound?

Whenever I turn up the volume on my amp and my guitar, and I just lightly touch the strings with my fingertips, my amp makes this clicking noise. I thought maybe it was my callouses hitting the strings, but when I use the pads of my fingers and just barely graze the string, there's a click. I don't know why this happens, and I'm afraid something might or has happened to my amp. Could anyone tell me why this is happening? Thanks.

  • How can I disable the tablet pc on my Acer?

I recently bought a new Acer laptop, called the Acer Aspire V5. There is a touchscreen function on this laptop that I absolutely HATE, and I can find no way to disable it so far. Not to mention this Acer uses Windows 8 and I hate that, too, considering I can't find or do anything on it that will not confuse me to hell. I've searched on Google for anything that might help me, and it said somewhere to uncheck the "Use your finger as input device" checkbox in Pen and Touch in the Control Panel, but that's not even there. If anyone can help me find out or tell me how to turn it off, I will love you forever. The touchscreen is irritating me to no end. Thanks.

  • Why the hell is my mom such a god damned jerk?

I know, I know, that made me sound like a spoiled brat. But I'm only asking like that because for one, I am pissed, and for another, my mother no longer thinks of her family as top priority. She's always constantly out with her "friends" and she either stays out until four in the morning or she doesn't come back home at all. Not to mention my mom changes her mind as fast as the Roadrunner. I've always wanted to go the New Year's Eve Ball Drop in Times Square (especially this year because my friend and I found out Taylor Swift was going to be performing), and my friend said she was allowed to go if a friend and their parent went with her. About a month ago, my mother said she would come with us if she didn't have work because I had good grades in school so far. Now she's saying that I'm lying and that she never said that, and told me that I could go to the Ball Drop so long as I never came back.

This is really making me sound like a spoiled brat, isn't it.

But what I don't understand is why she's now putting her friends at the top of her list and family at the bottom. She wouldn't even help drive me grandfather to the hospital when he's been having constant headaches for more than a month, and instead says that she has plans with her friends. She won't drive my grandmother to the airport because she apparently has a concert to go to with her friends.

I don't get it. I grew up thinking that family was always top priority and friends could always come second if needed be. What the hell happened to that logic? I was diagnosed with clinical depression about a year ago now, and I had suicidal thoughts until they went away a couple months ago. Now they're back, but they're even worse than before. My mother seems to think that she can right things just by buying things for our family. She doesn't understand that her family doesn't need all that crap she buys and wastes her money on, but that we need her emotional support, too.

I don't even know why or how this happened, because she's never been like this until about six months ago. I don't know what the **** happened, but it's affecting my entire family, and I hate it. Just the other day, I had a nightmare, the first one I've had in years, and I actually felt like I wanted my mother. But of course, she was out with her friends again. There's also my dad, who left us a couple months ago. But I don't blame him. He left because of what my mother's been doing. My mother got a new boyfriend that she married within A MONTH. He's annoying, and he smokes. He smells like a ******* pack of cigarettes every time I'm near him, and what makes it worse is that he tries to cover it up with what seems like an entire bottle of cologne. I can't breathe when I'm near him, literally, because I have asthma and him being there isn't helping my lungs at all. But my mom doesn't seem to understand that I have a problem with him, and when I tried to talk to her about it, she told me to shut the hell up and that it was her decision whether or not to date slash marry him. I'm pretty sure my mom's a gold digger, though, because I found out he's been supporting her with money, and although they've known each for about a month, she's already marrying him.

I ******* want to kill myself sometimes.

  • Do I have a cavity? <more words because there's apparently too little>?

I'm not sure if I have a cavity or not, as I've never had a cavity so far. All I know is that getting a cavity is painful. Over the past couple days, one of my right molars had this weird sensitivity. For example, when I was eating something tough, maybe bread or meat, and I chewed it with the right side of my mouth, that one molar would have this weird tingly sensation that was really uncomfortable. It was like how your teeth would feel if you accidentally ground them together, or how your teeth felt if they were sensitive and you ate something cold or hot.

I only feel it when I'm eating something, though I haven't felt it when I ate any sweets, which is rarely. I've felt around that tooth and I've pressed down on it with both my finger and my nail, and there's no sensation at all. But I have felt this strange line on the side of my tooth that none of my other teeth have, and I'm afraid it may be a crack. I do have a dentist's appointment this Wednesday, but the curiosity and worry is getting to me and I'm getting anxious. Could someone please tell me if I do have or if it's possible that I may have a cavity? Thank you.

  • How do I get a spider out of a car?

Just a day ago, my mom was driving with the front windows partially open, me in the back seat. All of a sudden, I see this light tan thing fly in and land on the seat next to me. I thought it was a leaf at first, then realized it was a spider the size of a quarter and screamed. I wanted to kill it or something, but I am deathly afraid of spiders and my mom was in the front and couldn't get it (I know, I sound really childish right now.). The spider crawled away at some point, came back, then crawled under the driver's seat.

Let me make it clear, that thing is freaking huge. Huge to me, at least. The spiders I usually see are house spiders, and they're really small. But this thing was the size of a freaking quarter. I don't usually see huge spiders everyday, so this thing scares me enough to the point that I refuse to ride in my mom's car until we are sure it is out and/or dead. But I don't want to wake up at five to catch the bus either... I sleep very late.

From then until now, we haven't seen the spider, but that means that we haven't seen it get out or anything. My mom hasn't found it either. I really want to get the spider out before it starts spinning webs or laying eggs. Especially laying eggs. I swear, if I see a huge mother spider and dozens of tiny baby spiders in an enclosed space with me inside that space, I will scream my head off and jump out of the ******* car even if we're driving at forty miles an hour on the highway.

Please, please, PLEASE someone tell me how to get rid of it.

  • Do you wear a yukata the same way you would wear a kimono?

  • What was the Battle of Sekigahara about?

This is for my report. I have to write a two paragraph explanation (short essay) of a historical event in Japan, and I chose this, but there's so much information on Wiki that I can't read or understand the whole thing.

Could someone please explain what the Battle of Sekigahara is about, not what happened during the battle? For example, why did they fight, what the reason was? Thanks for anyone who helps.

If you could recommend an easier historical event to write about, then PLEASE tell me. Thank you.

  • Does anyone know how far it is from Matsumoto Castle to Akashi Kaikyo bridge?

They're both in Japan, but I can't find anything that says how far apart they are. I also need to know in which direction you'd need to travel to get to Akashi Kaikyo bridge, like southwest, south, etc.

    Thanks to anyone who helps.

  • Could someone please tell me about an interesting historical event that occurred in Japan?

I need to find a good, interesting historical event that occurred in Japan for my report, something that I can write two paragraphs (short essay) about, but I can't seem to really find one. Most, if not all the events I've looked through were mainly bad, like earthquakes, the assassination of a clan, stuff like that. Nothing good so far, though.

If you could, could you tell me about a good historical event that happened in Japan? If not, then could you tell me about an interesting event? It's fine if it's a bad one.

    Please help? Thanks.

  • Could someone please solve this and explain the steps?

  • Could someone please solve this and explain the steps to me?

I'm supposed to find the measurements of two vertical angles. This is the question:

"Line AB intersects line CD at E. The measure of angle AED = 3/2x + 10 and the measure of angle BEC = x + 36. Find the measures of angles BEC and CEA."

    3/2x is a fraction, 3 over 2 x.

So far, I've only got 3/2x + 10 = x + 36. I'm actually pretty sure the answer is 54 because I used an online math calculator, but I had couldn't see the steps to how the equation was solved. Could someone please tell me how you're supposed to solve this? Thanks.

  • Does anyone know what these are?

A while ago, I saw someone riding something that was... Kind of like a really tiny skateboard. It's not a skateboard mini, I know that. She was riding on one foot, and there was something like a brake in the back. So, it was kind of like a cross between a skateboard and a scooter, but without the handles. It was also maybe about a foot in length, and black. The edges also kind of curved up a bit around her riding foot, like it was for stability, and her riding foot was racing forward, not sideways.

Does anyone have an idea for what this is? I've tried searching on Google, but I came up with nothing.

  • Is it possible to have white and black hair at the same time?

My friend has black hair, but he also has white hair. It's not like when people get white or gray hairs when they're stressed, but he says the white hairs have been growing in the same place ever since he had hair. The white hair grows out in an arrow at his forehead, and there's a bit of white hair at the back of his head, but everything else is black. I think it's only on his head, though.

When you dye your hair, your roots are the same color as your original hair, but his white hairs are completely white while his black hairs are completely black. He can let his hair grow out, but they still stay the same... He doesn't have a problem with it, but I'm just curious. Why is his hair like this?

  • Can someone please explain to me how WWII was related to the Great Depression?

Did the Great Depression cause WWII? Maybe not directly cause it, but did it have some part in it? Did it help end the Great Depression? I'm really confused right now...

  • Is this considered a blood clot?

For my science homework, I had to search up the different blood types, and why some couldn't be mixed with one another and why. I read this one sentence from http://www.fi.edu/learn/heart/blood/types.html that said, "If two different blood types are mixed together, the blood cells may begin to clump together in the blood vessels, causing a potentially fatal situation."

I'm pretty sure that a blood clot is when platelets are blocking a blood vessel and preventing blood from being able to pass through, but is this considered a blood clot, too? I'm pretty confused. I appreciate any help I can get.

  • Are there laptops/computers that NEED to have two user accounts?

My laptop recently crashed, and my mom's co-worker helped to fix it by replacing my hard-drive, and he now says that my laptop NEEDS to have two accounts, an admin and a standard. I don't know about that, because I haven't ever heard of or seen a laptop/computer that had to have two accounts unless it was a shared laptop, and I'm the only one that uses the laptop.

Before he replaced my hard-drive, I needed to have only one account, but now my mom has the password to administrator and I can't download anything that will affect the hard-drive without the password and she won't give it to me.

Would there be any reasons for why my laptop may need two accounts? Or is there really no use for two accounts and I can take it off? Thanks for any help.

  • Is this considered personification?

I'm using "Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost in my report, and I'm not sure if the line I'm looking at is considered personification:

"He gives his harness bells a shake

To ask if there is some mistake."

The "he" is referring to the person's horse.

Please help, I'm really confused about this. Thanks!
