  • Sick kitten and full grown cat please help?

My kitten Pharaoh has worms all really bad and I'm going to get medicine for her today hopefully but her eyes are also very full of mucus to the point of not being able to see so I was wondering if it would be okay if I put human eye drops in her eyes or not.

My full grown cat is way worse. My mom said she has mange but to make sure her leg looks like its rotting off and there's an open sore on it and she's loosing her hair. What medicine can I get for her? Is there anything I can spray on her to where I don't have to touch her for very long? (I'm allergic to cats and I plan on wearing gloves and a med mask. No else will help them in my house which is sad).

Also I'm only seventeen and my family doesn't believe in taking animals to veterinarians but if it were up to me I would take them but vets are out of the question.

  • Stress and insomnia caused by family, what should I do?

My dad was just sentenced to four years in prison for his third dwi two days ago, so my mom moved her boyfriend into my dads house to save money. She kicked me out of my room so they could sleep in there and put me in my dad's room. My dads bed is broken and uncomfortable and his room just reminds me of the times we spent in there watching TV together. They made me baby sit my two month old baby brother yesterday for six hours which I don't mind but baby's his age need a lot of attention and I hadn't slept the night before and they knew that. The last time I slept was Saturday afternoon for five hours and its now after 4:30 Monday morning. I'm the one in my family that's always "taking one for the team" because I'm very soft spoken and I don't ***** about things but its starting to get ridiculous. My dad also doesn't know that my moms boyfriend is living in HIS house and I feel guilty about it because my dad and I are very close and I know he'd **** bricks if he knew. My mom always has me lie to my dad about things.

What should I do? I'm seventeen if it helps.

  • In "Fight Club" why does the narrator have to cry in order to sleep? ?

In the film/book "Fight Club" by Chuck Palahniuk, the narrator is an insomniac who starts to go to various support groups in order to cry so he can sleep, why is it that he can only sleep after he cries?

    Thank you.

  • Atheists/agnostics did religion/the paranormal screw with your mental health like it did mine?

No offense to anyone who practices a religion.

When I was younger my grandmother made me go to church Sunday, Wednesday, and sometimes Friday. I attended vacation Bible school in the summer but I wasn't like the other kids. I hated it. I would sing in the children's choir and the songs scared me, the posters of christ bleeding on the cross gave me nightmares, and worst of all I was attracted to my teacher who happens to be the same gender as I am and the Sunday school teacher and the preacher said that gay people go to hell.

Do you know how seriously ****** up it is for a nine year old little girl to think she's going to be tortured for all eternity?!

As I got older these feelings for girls grew stronger and I was in denial for years because the thought that I was going to hell made me too frightened to admit that I was gay. I would avoid church at all cost and once I had to do a school choir concert in a church and nearly had a nervous breakdown! When I finally let go of my religion and became agnostic and later an atheist and went through some school classes that proved the Bible and religion to be false I developed a since of self respect and I'm proud to be homosexual. But at times I still suffer from emotional trauma from those years of being a Baptist choir girl.

Does anyone else understand this? Have you gone through this or worse?

Be nice and polite, thank you.

  • Agnostics/Atheists only: My mom is too scared to admit she doesn't believe in God?

The other day my mother and I were having a conversation on religion. I, myself am agnostic, so I have no idea how we came into existance, but I don't believe in any God so I guess I'm more into agnostic atheism but thats beside the point. We were talking about christianity, and it came up that she believes that the biblical god is just nonsense and that she feels as if when you die, its just over and done. She said that religion seems like nonsense to her and that shes kind of forcing herself to believe it because she was raised to be a baptist and is scared of what will happen. That got my attention! It suprised me because shes always bringing home these religious books that her friends give her, because shes best friends with this hypocritical bible thumper, you know the kind that'll preach the bible then do the exact opposite! (don't get me wrong, I respect peoples beliefs but I just can't stand a hypocrite)

    Anyway, my question is,

How do I help my mom explore her beliefs (or lack of beliefs :p) and get her past this fear?
