Does this person has the right to be offended?
Does anyone knows what is a game called cards against humanity? If you don't, please research that before answering this question. In a game of cards against humanity, a friend one mine basically finish the sentence "Yeah I killed _______ , how you ask? With an ______." with "The Jews" and "A M16 rifle". An acquaintance found it so amusing that it took a picture of the cards and posted on Facebook.
Long time after, this same acquaintance got extremely offended when I remembered a joke that I did with one of my friends. I said to this friend of mine that he was "so German that it could be in a SS recruitment flyer." This acquaintance said it was extremely racist and made a long speech about how jokes like that are detrimental to society. She was offended because she had German ancestry.
I first felt bad about it but then I started getting little puzzled. Isn't weird someone that does not mind a joke about killing Jewish people but it is super-sensible with jokes about Germany?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture7 years agoWhat kind of farming should I start?
I am a foreigner who wants to start a farm in the US. To gain the E1 or E2 visa my investment needs to be $100.000 or more (I prefer to be below $150.000). I am researching what kind of farming would have a initial investment around this value (including livestock, grains and equipment).
If these values are to low, what would be the cheapest kind of profitable farming to start? How much initial investment it would demand?
3 AnswersSmall Business7 years agoWorking visa for a law school graduate?
I am a international student, after finishing my bachelors, I decide to apply to Syracuse University College of Law after I saw about their scholarships. I got a good offer and I can afford it. But I am worried about employment after graduation. Would any company sponsor a working visa for a law school graduate? The university is in NY state but I wouldn't mind go anywhere in the United States. If not there would be any opportunity overseas for someone with a American J.D.?
2 AnswersImmigration7 years agoPhilosophy graduates, how are you experiences with the job market?
I hear a lot of opinions about how important is the field you graduate in, but I want to hear the answer from people who really obtained a degree in Philosophy and their experiences. I am thinking about obtaining one. I plan to go to graduate school and get either a GDL, a Masters in Communication, or a PPL. But, I need to have some kind of employment to secure some money to graduate school.

1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)8 years agoWhat kind of sneaker is common among metalheads?
I know that Vans lunched many signature models for bands like Slayer, Iron Maiden, and Metallica, but they are always limited and run out of stock really fast. I am thinking about the traditional Vans or All-Star but I am not sure. What do you suggest? Any other brand suggestion is welcome.
6 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoCan someone get a teaching job in a US community college with a UK M.Phil?
I am curious if a UK M.Phil graduate would be able to get a job in a US community college. I know that it is possible to teach at community colleges with a Masters but how do they would see a M.Phil? It is a research degree so would it be worse or better than a taught Masters?
3 AnswersTeaching8 years agoCold Embrace (Testament) too similar to The Unforgiven II (Metallica)?
I just thought that some riffs are similar and there is something about sun or sunshine in both lyrics. Cold Embrace has a more heavier tone but still too weird how this songs are similar. Maybe it is just coincidence. What you think?
1 AnswerRock and Pop8 years agoWhat is your opinion about the Metallica Kill 'em All shoes?
I have tried to stay away from most Metallica stuff in recent years. When they lunched they signature shoe line with Vans I had no interest in buying it (if you want to see it here is the link http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en_US/style/io77... but, they now lunched a new shoe celebrating the album Kill 'em All (http://shop.vans.com/catalog/Vans/en_US/style/kya7... and I am thinking about acquiring one because it is one of my favorite albums. The point is that: Does the fact of being a Kill 'em All shoe compensates both the fact of being a Metallica shoes and that Ulrich will receive any money from it?
4 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhy do people insist in saying that you need to learn acoustic guitar before electric guitar?
Where does this come from? People argue with me using illogical reasons as:"It is harder than electric so when you start playing electric is going to be better." It may be easier but you will lost at least 4 years learning the acoustic (if you don't like any music with acoustic, this will be a really tedious time). Following that logic you should start playing cello and harp first because they are the easiest."You will learn techniques overlooked in the electric guitar." Again, total dismiss with people who have no interest in any acoustic guitar music. Why I need these techniques if I will never play acoustic? Actually, i think all this stuff is created by old school guys who didn't wanted electric only guitarists being called guitarists. "It will be easier on your fingers." I will use picks, just that. Now I need to ask: Does anyone has a really good reason?
4 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoBest electric guitar for a beginner metal-head?
I am undecided between the Epiphone Les Paul Special II, the Epiphone SG Special, and Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Special. I would like to add that my plan is to play heavy metal (more focus on trash and death, like Megadeth or Dethklok) and have no experience with eletric guitar.
8 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWould using a straightening iron be considered a poser thing for metal-heads?
I want to grow a long hair but this is incredible difficult with my hair. It is so thick that the hair stays with so much volume that creates a style of jewfro without curls. A straightening iron would help me and would make my hair more loose, creating a much cooler headbanging. I actually would like to base my style on Toki Wartooth from Dethklok. I know that this sounds weird but I really liked his style, I even already started growing a fu manchu mustache.
2 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoIs Dethklok (from Metalocalypse) a Death metal or a Black metal band?
Their vocals are very Death metal but ,when I was buying their album in ITunes, in the synapse said it is a Black metal band. The Wikipedia says Death metal/ Melodic death metal. The results I got in Google are mixed. Does anyone know for sure?
9 AnswersRock and Pop8 years agoWhich university in this list would be the best option? Why?
I am attending a Junior College and planning to transfer to a 4 year university. Price and out-of-state tuition makes no difference for me in this list.I actually have other better options, these are my backup options and I need to cut some.
University of Louisville
University of Kentucky
University of Kansas
university of Wyoming
4 AnswersHigher Education (University +)8 years agoWhat you think was the worst answer I got in Yahoo?
One who answered: "first of all your question is too long and some people have better thing to do than reading it..." (Yeah, if you think you know the most pretentious guy on earth think again).
Or another one from a question I made about US colleges (I am a international student) where the guy answered: "foreigners aren't allowed in US colleges".
They are both the worst question I ever received not only in Yahoo but in my entire life. The first one is just the most unpolite guy I ever met and the other one is probably a elementary school drop-out but which one is worst?
1 AnswerYahoo Answers9 years agoWhat would be the be the top five colleges in my list? In what order?
I am studying in a junior college in New York. I am an international student (so I receive 0 financial aid or loans so money also plays a factor but all options are affordable) and my major tends to be liberal arts or geology (complicated to explain).
SUNY Plattsburgh (has a lot of international students and has good overseas network but less prestige)
SUNY Geneseo (a lot of prestige but in most of websites were students can review it was completely bashed, I mean really ugly commentaries)
SUNY Buffalo
SUNY Bing
SUNY New Paltz
SUNY Albany
Rochester Institute of Technology (most expansive one)
Nazareth College
St. Bonaventure
Niagara University
If you know a similar college in NY that I didn't listed fell free to post.

1 AnswerLegal9 years agoWill the tuition in the US colleges ever stop raising so fast?
I am a international student and I like to study in US but I am worried about the college education in US, I feel lucky that my parents have the necessary funds and the willing to finance my education but I am worried about how the middle class americans will be able to pay for college in the future. In the last 10 years the tuition in american colleges raised 100%, I know that US citizens can receive federal loans but there is a limit, most of the students graduate with some debt but imagine the future college students graduating with the double of debt. You can say that this is not my business because I am a foreigner and I will return to my country after my graduation, but just imagine a future where the only people that attend college are scholarship athletes, very rich people, members of the military using the benefits and cadets of the military academies (because they are free).
