  • Does she still have her Philippine Citizenship?

My mother was born in the Philippines but came to the United States with a US Passport since her mother (my grandmother) was born in Hawaii. My mom never applied for naturalization and has lived in the U.S. for 33 years... since she never applied for her naturalization does she still have rights to her Philippine Citizenship or does she have to apply for Dual Citizenship to retain her Philippine Citizenship? I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

  • A trip to the Philippines...

I'm planning to visit the Philippines... I know most people stay for a period of 21 days (3 weeks) but if I were to stay longer for say a total of 2 months, will I have problems going back to the US? When is it that I have to file for an extension with the US Embassy? By the way I'm a US Citizen. Thank you for your information, it is greatly appreciated.

  • What is the proper procedure? US citizen gives birth in the Philippines...?

When a child of a US Citizen is born in the Philippines what is the proper procedure to get the baby's paperwork for a passport to get back to the United States? How long does it take from beginning to end? Is there a way of expediting this? Has anyone been in this situation?

    Thank you.

  • Anyone being seen by a mid-wife and not a doctor?

I'm roughly 5-6 months pregnant and have not been seen by a doctor but I have been seeing a midwife... I plan on going out of the country soon to help some family out but I'm worried about giving birth there in the Philippines... I know there are private clinics with midwives there... has anyone gone through their whole pregnancy just being seen by a mid-wife?

  • Hi Everyone. Has anyone that is a US Citizen given birth abroad in the Philippines?

If so, what steps did you take in order to get the paperwork going for his/her passport? I know you have to report to the US Embassy/Consulate, what do they ask you and what documents are needed? Is it fairly easy? Does it take long?

Thank you all. I appreciate any info you can give me.

  • Baby born in the Philippines from US Mother?

I wasn't quite sure as to what topic to place my question so I hope

I can find some help here. Here goes: I'm currently almost 4 months pregnant and I'm leaving for the Philippines for 6 months to help family out. What happens once I have my baby there? Will I have trouble with trying to bring my baby back to the US with me? How do I go about taking care of the paperwork for my child's citizenship? Will my child need a passport? This is my first trip out there.

    Thank you.
