Pessimist or optimist?

I'm thinking of getting a Scottish fold kitten maybe sometime soon in the future. But I was just curious (yes I'm doing my own research as well), to see what actual owners have to say about them. If you own/have owned a Scottish fold, what can you say about them, are they friendly cats, do they get along with other cats, how smart are they, prone to any health problems, ...etc.

That tastes extremely bitter? I've tried twice now, and he will just start foaming and trying to get it out. I've tried giving him something that tastes good first, and it didn't work. I've held his mouth closed for about a minute and he'll hold it in his mouth until I let go. Any ideas on a better way to do this next time? :/
