i'm almost 19. lately the insides of my ankles and feet have been getting very itchy! i thought it was because i had walked around barefoot in the grass a few days ago (i also had several mosquito bites) but they haven't stopped itching. now i have little white bumps all over when it itches. they're not gross or anything, just little bumps. it itches usually at night (i wear socks and tennis shoes to work all day) and i usually put benadryl cream on them. i remember when i was little i would wake up with itchy feet on summer nights, too. (it's summer in kansas right now!) my sister was recently diagnosed with numular eczema, but she doesn't break out very often. i've read that some factors to diagnose it include asthma, light skin and light hair (all of which i have). so, does it sound like eczema or something else? thanks!

my mom has had an antique mesh coin purse for as long as i can remember. i looked at it the other day and noticed a metal hang tag on the inside of it. it says "whiting & davis mesh bags" and under that i think it says 'U.S. and CAN' but it's hard to read that part. i'm really curious about it and can't find much information on these particular purses.

it's silver with a square hinged frame and a 2 ball clasp at the top. the frame has some detail work on it. the bag itself has a small-circled mesh body, and at the end where the purse comes together, it has more mesh hanging down like a fringe. there are a few small holes in it, and a bigger hole next to the frame on one side. this is the closest thing i could find to what it looks like, but this one doesn't have the fringe on it:

i'm 18 and NOT planning on having children anytime soon - i'm not even planning on getting married until i'm out of college. the thing is, childbirth really freaks me out. having a doctor shove their hands up there, being ripped open, blood and fluid everywhere.... i can't even imagine anything more painful. it makes my stomach turn just thinking about it. i don't know how i will ever come to terms with labor and delivery.

so ladies -

were you prepared for the experience and all of the pain?

what would you describe the pain as?

how was childbirth different with each child?

what was the worst part?

i'm writing an argument paper called "Spend Green, Live Green: The High Cost of Healthy Living". I need some arguments for and against the topic, plus counterpoints to the opposition.

For example, one of my arguments for the paper is that if the price of healthy food was lower, it would be easier for more people to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

i'm from kansas, and i, along with every other kansan, am sad to say that the phelps are from the same state.

the phelps preach hate. i don't understand how they can say that God hates everyone, especially gays and those in the military. they even use scripture to "prove" their points. whatever happened to "thou shalt not judge"?

i don't think i hate anything more than the phelps family. they are a disgrace to kansas and all of america, and i hope that somehow we can make them stop. if only 75 people agree with them (all the people in their church, and by church i mean family) then how can all the other millions of people not be allowed to do anything to them?

anyway - technically my question is - Christians, how do you feel about the phelps using Christianity and the Bible to spread their message of hatred?

i have to write an argumentative synthesis for honors comp II, but i have no idea what i want to write about. it just has to be over anything that you can take sides on. what should i write about?

what are your favorite simple side dishes?

for things like potluck dinners, community picnics, church suppers, family gatherings, etc...

here are two things i'm taking to my boyfriend's family get-together tomorrow:

black bean salsa -

drain 2 cans corn, 1 can black beans, 1 can rotel; drizzle with a little italian dressing, mix well. can be served immediately or refrigerated. serve with tostitos scoops chips. (so easy to make, tastes great!)

cheesy green bean casserole -

mix 2 cans french-style green beans (drained), 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 bag of shredded cheese, 3/4 can of french fried onions, and a little milk. bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. top with remaining french fried onions. (courtesy of my sister!)

my sister kimberly (26) is pregnant and she is looking for a formal gown to wear to an event. her husband is in school at UMKC and they have a ball every year, basically like a prom for adults, so the dress will need to be pretty formal. she will be almost full term when she wears it. she would like it to be floor length and not too expensive since she'll only wear it once. she wore a size 6 before pregnancy and now she is 5 months and still just using belly bands and wearing normal shirts with empire waists. anyone have any sites or stores she could use? i told her i would try and find something!

abc used to have a segment about "your three words", where people would send in pictures or video of just three words. one of the most powerful ones were like "missing my soldier" and "waiting for daddy".

i'm 18 and female. i recently started going to a natural medicine doctor and had an ALCAT food allergy panel. most of what i'm allergic to are things i eat almost everyday. i don't have reactions, like hives, to anything. so far all i've noticed is that when i have dairy, my stomach hurts. apparently, i am also allergic to the following....

severely - pecans; moderately - yeast, cashews, cauliflower, cow's milk, grapes, green peas, green peppers, millet, mustard, pineapple, salmon, shrimp, snapper, sole, summer squash, tuna, gluten, wheat, oats, rye and barley!

these are things i (used to) eat a lot that i'm going to add into my 4 day rotation: beef, potatoes, turkey, corn, broccoli, and rice. and by the way, i'm from kansas, so i was raised on beef and potatoes and am very sad i can't eat them anymore! :(

SO now my doctor said i cannot have any type of dairy, grain or sugar. does anyone have any recipes or advice to make eating this way easier? i am so frustrated.

I'm an 18 year old female. All throughout my life I have gone through cycles where I go a few years having a lot of energy and I'll lose weight for no reason, and then I'll go a few years where I sleep all the time, and I'll gain weight without even changing my eating habits. Last year, I dropped twenty pounds without even trying, then all of a sudden I gained twenty pounds without doing anything different, and I have to sleep at least ten hours a day or I feel exhausted. My mom said I had these same symptoms even when I was little. I also have problems with temperature intolerance. My dad has a thyroid disorder where he bounces back and forth between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroism. Could I have the same thing? Also, please share your symptoms and experiences, and what helped you. Thank you for your answers!

my boyfriend's cousin just lost her little baby boy. he was two months old and just didn't wake up... i didn't get to go to the funeral, and i'm not that close with her. but i really want to do something for her so she knows there are people out there thinking about her. my boyfriend said she lost it at the funeral, which is completely understandable. she's devastated. what can i do for her?

NOTHING. or they just aren't paying attention. SERIOUSLY. i had two health classes in high school, one my freshman year and one my junior year. i am so sick of seeing girls my age ask things like "CAN I GET PREGNANT FROM ANAL SEX?" and "CAN I GET PREGNANT FROM GIVING HEAD?"

do these girls not pay attention in class? do they just not have ANY common sense? didn't anyone teach them ANYTHING? come on people, you're making my generation look bad!

as we all know, a lower back tat is called a tramp stamp, bull's eye, target; it's even called a "*** catcher" on wikipedia! i didn't want to get my tattoo there because i knew what would people say! so i got it some place else. will it always be a stigma? is it going to phase out soon? does everyone really think that if a girl has a tat there, that they are slutty? i'd like to know what people think - good or bad. thanks!
