  • What's a good comeback?

So me and my boyfriend recently found out that his roommates were watching us have sex through his window.

We're both weirded out by it and I planned on confronting them about it. Knowing them, I know we're going to get into an argument where they're just going to try and throw insults around like say how "bad we looked" or that "it was funny" to think of a few.

What would be a good comeback to shut them up?

  • Is it alright to see 2 psychologists at once?

I have a psychologist I've been working with for a few months now but she rarely is able to see me and I feel like I need to see one more often. I really like her, though, and I feel like starting from scratch would be somewhat of a waste of time, especially since she says she has lots of experience with people with my "problem".

Is it alright to have 2 psychologists or is that problematic? I'd just try to get another one on my off time and maybe to get a second opinion but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not.

  • I'd like to learn double bass for free/cheap?

I really want to learn the double/upright bass but I don't have the 1k to dish out on buying one for myself. I'm not in highschool and as far as I know my college doesn't have any orchestra thing going on.

Where can I go to learn to play it and maybe rent it out cheap or be able to take it home to practice?

  • Make a violin sound better?

I know playing it a certain way does, but I'm talking about the parts.

I have a pretty cheap violin, got it off amazon as a learner, but I heard that if you change the bow or strings it may sound better.

    Is this true?

  • I think one of my tenants copied a house key?

I suspect my tenants made a copy of a house key and are now using it to enter the house while a new tenant is occupying it.

Is there some sort of key-copying database I could cross reference with or something like that?? I know walmart and home depot make keys, do they keep track of them? Help!

  • Is there any leather that's waterproof?

I know regularly it's not, but what about stingray leather? It's very unique and SEEMS like it would be. Shark leather, if that's even a thing?

  • What's a good guy to girl ratio for a swinger's party?

I wanted to throw a swingers/lingerie/sexy party a couple weeks from now and I wanted to know what a good ratio of guys to girls would be?

I was thinking 5 girls for every guy. Is that too much?

    Just some more info:

I feel like the guys I hang around with are a bit too forward with girls. I wanted a high girl ratio to try and make them feel more comfortable with the idea of this party, but I'd still like advice on it since I've never thrown one before.

  • Why is being vegetarian considered more moral?

Bear with me, seems like a weird question but I don't get why people dissociate eating plants with not killing anything.

Plants are very much alive and when you eat them you're killing them, much in the same way you kill a cow or sheep. Is it the fact that plants don't have emotions or have the complexity to convey themselves in a way we can relate to that makes us feel less sorry for them? Is it the fact they don't feel pain? Would killing a cow that doesn't feel pain be any more or less moral than killing a plant? What about a cow that's fallen into a coma and isn't consciously aware of itself? Isn't that then the equivalent of a plant? They both seem to have the same ability to grow, reproduce and adapt, so what makes a cow higher up on the importance scale than a plant?

I'm just trying to get an idea of WHAT it is about plants that makes people so okay with eating them without really considering that they're living things.

    What's your opinion?

  • How much weight is too much stress on a horse?

I know horses are pretty strong, but I mean, surely their backs hurt when you stress them out too much?

  • Ear piercing infection - keep the earring in or not?

Alright so I got my ears pierced early may, it was a piercing in the lobe. Anyway, it's been quite a while but they got swollen a SECOND time. The first time I wasn't able to pull the earrings out so I just cleaned around them and applied some neosporin and it cleared it up. This time I managed to get both my earrings out, I cleaned my ears and the holes with hydrogen peroxide, I dunked the earrings themselves in hydrogen peroxide, and I applied neosporin over my holes. I sort of want to put the earrings back in but I'm not sure if I should.

It's been long since the piercing but is there a possibility they'll close up again?

  • Got a ticket but the officer never asked me to sign it?

I recently got a ticket for having my lisence plate expired.

Bottom line, the officer handed me a ticket and left.

The ticket isn't written, it's a computer printed one and it has HIS signature on the bottom but not mine, nor did he ever ask me to sign.

I asked my friend and he said that since I didn't sign it, there's no actual proof that I received a ticket and that I technically could claim I never got one.

I know it's not the "right" thing to do, but I plan on getting the license renewed anyway and I don't have time to go to court and pay some fee for something I'm paying for anyway.. I'd prefer an answer based off the law rather than a police officer with pride saying how I'm going to 'get what's coming'.

in the end: if a police officer doesn't ask you to sign a ticket, do they really have proof that they gave it to you at all?

  • How can I make my boyfiend trust me again?

Basically, I was talking to a guy friend and I didn't tell my boyfriend I was when he asked. He found out and got mad at me. He says he can't trust me, which I understand, because instead of just telling him, I lied.

I feel horrible and want to make it up to him: he's really upset.

What nice things can I do to show him I'm sorry, that he can trust me?

  • Should I listen to him or go with how I feel?

Sorry guys, it's long, but I'd appreciate help very much.

I've been in a unstable relationship for a year and a half. My current boyfriend has never been fully happy with our relationship because I've been very selfish. I had an immature mentality and I wouldn't treat him right. I hung out with my friends more than him, wouldnt believe him over them, and would be very prideful toward him. I essentially treated him less than a friend, and it was really bad on my part. When he told me I was being selfish and cruel I stopped my behavior, but he had to get upset before I changed for him and treated him differently. But since I never fully apologized or made amends for my actions he said I never fully redeemed myself. He compared it to "if person A murdered person B's family and then just started treating them better, it still wouldn't make things right", which is understandable, I needed to make amends.

Just recently, I started visiting him alot(which is alot of gas money, we live far, and I have to do it behind my parents' back so it's scary for me), I wrote him a letter telling him I would make things right and treat him well and then got him a $60 videogame as a gift. Today, he tells me he feels depressed because his friends don't treat him well. I ask how come and tell him his friends seem very nice. To that he becomes upset and tells me he doesn't want the videogame anymore. He tells me it's an attempt at me trying to get him to 'shut up' rather than an actual act of kindness. He also tells me I am defending his friends and gets more upset at me and signs offline. I call him and try to tell him that I didn't mean to defend his friends at all, I was just trying to see if he overlooked something, and maybe he was being pessimistic. He becomes even more upset and says that I don't believe him and he says "I'm not like you, I actually think things through, I don't just get upset and do stupid stuff". He hangs up on me several times and I call him back trying to explain myself but it doesnt work. He talks to me so rudely I get scared and can't think of anything to say to cheer him up so I ended up stopping calling back.

I feel it's very unfair the way he treats me. He misunderstood my intentions and then he has the right to be upset at me. I know I've treated him badly so I am very passive and apologize constantly, but I don't know if its fair or not. I feel terrible when he talks to me like that.

It's one thing to not accept my apology or tell me I did something wrong, but I don't feel anyone should be mocked as they're trying to make things right.

I really WANT to make things right too. I want to make up for all the things I've done, I just don't feel the same way I do about him when he demeans me like that.

    A. Am I being selfish again? What should I do?

    B. Also, I want to get him little presents to make amends but those don't seem to make him very happy. What can I do to show him I really want to make it up to him?

    Please help!

  • What percentage of ALL wars have been caused by religion?

I don't care how BAD they were or how negative the outcome. I just want to know of all the wars ever started in the world, how many of them were caused due to religious beliefs, religious differences, religious greed, anything like that.

I recently saw a documentary on tv that showed a correlation. When countries had a high percentage of religious inhabitants, they were much more likely to go war.

If you could give an exact percent, that would be great, if not, just a guess would be fine :)

    Thanks guys

  • Is silicone sealing caulk dangerous?

I was thinking about using some acrylic silicone and latex caulk for sealing some cracks and spaces around my bathroom but someone told me that it was dangerous for skin contact. They told me it was because it was mixed with certain chemicals to help it dry faster.

Is this true for all caulk? How about 100% silicone caulk that I assume isn't mixed with anything?

And if it is dangerous, to what degree?

    Thank you!!!

  • Why is Satan looked down on?

    Honestly, why?

I know every christian/catholic will probably crap their pants and say I'm going to hell, but how are you guys even sure that your god is the good guy?

What if god is a total jerk and satan rebelled against him for a just cause, and so god didn't want any of that so he sent him to hell?

After all, everything we "know" about god that we take for "fact" comes from the bible.. And of course if it was divinely inspired by god, he's not going to write anything badly about himself..

Also, god killed, what? Around a billion people in the bible?

The worst thing Satan did was give Adam and Eve an apple, that ALL-FORGIVING god hasn't even forgiven us for yet.

So tell me what you think.
