If I live in Washington and work in Oregon am I better off contributing to my Traditional IRA instead of Roth?
Does Oregon tax the income I contribute to my traditional IRA? Will Oregon be able to tax IRA distributions once I retire and live in Washington? I have always worked in Washington until recently so it always made sense to contribute to my Roth, but now that I am paying Oregon income tax, I wonder if it might be smart to contribute to the traditional if that state defers taxes on traditional contributions and will not be able to tax distributions once I quit working there.

3 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan my dog die if I feed her cooked kokanee?
I went kokanee fishing yesterday and told my fishing partner I was going to share some of my catch with my dog. He said it could kill her. A vet told me it isn't the salmon (kokanee is a landlocked salmon), but a parasite found in North Pacific salmon that can kill a dog if eaten raw. I have fed my dog small portions of cooked salmon in the past without any problems and believe that cooked kokanee will be safe for her to eat because it comes from a lake and has no chance to be tainted with the North Pacific parasite the vet referenced. Do you know anything specific about this issue?

I would like to be able to see what percentage of a stock has short interest and to be able to see the change from day to day or week to week. Is this possible?
3 AnswersInvesting1 decade agoIs there still a reason why someone would want to invest in mutual funds rather than ETFs?
With ETF's there isn't the huge management fee. They trade like stocks. They outperform the mutual funds with the same investment objectives 90% of the time over 5 year periods. You can put stop losses and buy limits on them. You don't pay penalties for early withdrawals. You know its value at all times.
Do you have a compelling reason to buy a mutual fund instead?
