Apparently yes! Checkmate.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoCan someone find me a link to a Fox News article on Lisa Biron?
They don't seem to be reporting the story, of Lisa Biron, the extremely Christian anti-gay lawyer being charged with possession of child pornography and five counts of sexual exploitation of children? I have found the article on other reputable sites, but can't find any mention of it on Fox. Help?
2 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWho said this quote defending government spending as the savior of the Salt Lake Olympics?
"We simply could not host Games in Salt Lake if it were not for the enormous spending and services of the Federal government"
5 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWho said this quote (see description)?
"It's time the biggest-taxing senator in Washington shows the people of Massachusetts how much he pays in taxes"
Just wondering what kind of politician demands to see another politician's tax returns.
3 AnswersPolitics9 years agoShould churches be granted tax exempt status even though they blatantly violated the terms of the code?
According to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the provision of the tax code from which these churches derive their tax-exempt status, a compliant organization must not "participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements), any political campaign on behalf of ... any candidate for public office."
The IRS has failed to remove the tax-exempt status of these churches despite their violations of tax code. This must change, and the law must be applied equally to everyone.

4 AnswersPolitics9 years agoHey conservatives, where are your talking points?
Y'all LOVE talking points on every question, until I ask you about Mitt Romney supporting the individual mandate. So tell me, WHY did Mitt call the individual mandate "the ultimate conservatism" but suddenly he opposes it?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIPynMZuQtI&feature...
Could it be his position has, gasp, EVOLVED? No, couldn't be, you conservatives are against evolving positions. Or maybe that's just when a black guy does it?
13 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDo all conservatives oppose critical thinking?
... or just the ones in Texas?
"Knowledge-Based Education - We oppose the teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) (values clarification), critical thinking skills and similar programs that are simply a relabeling of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) (mastery learning) which focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student's fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority."

6 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDid you know that in 2010, Mitt Romney said he liked Obamacare's Individual Mandate?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI5JjBHq8_0&feature...
And in 2007, he called it the "ultimate conservatism"?
10 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDid you know that in 2007 Mitt Romney called the individual mandate ultimate conservatism?
"When they show up at the hospital, they get care, they get free care, paid for by you and me. If that's not a form of socialism, I don't know what is. So my plan did something quite different. It said, you know what, if people can afford to buy insurance, if they can afford to buy insurance, or if they can pay their own way, then they either buy that insurance or pay their own way, but they no longer look to government to hand out free care. And that, in my opinion, is ultimate conservatism. That's why the Heritage Foundation worked with us and was at the celebration of the signing. The Heritage Foundation, as you know, a quintessentially conservative group, recognized that the principles of free enterprise and personal responsibility were at work. And I'm proud to talk about what we did. We did not need to raise taxes. We did not need to have the government take over health care. Instead, we rely on private market dynamics to get people in our state insured and for individuals to finally take responsibility for some portion of their health care rather than expecting government to give them a free ride."

Conservative ideas... until a black guy says it.
5 AnswersPolitics9 years agodid you know states with the highest obesity rates are the most against Obamacare?
I have a feeling people are going to warm up to Obamacare when diabetes becomes the number one chronic disease thanks to fat America. I think you all can shove it about the personal responsibility now. Apparently, the ones with the least are the ones complaining the most. God it's good to be thin.
9 AnswersPolitics9 years agoHey fundies and gay haters?
Are you going to boycott Facebook like you tried to boycott Oreos? Facebook has announced new gay marriage relationship options.
When I asked whether you conservative fundies would support companies that support homosexuality, you said overwhelmingly NO WAY (despite doing so with your Yahoo! accounts--Yahoo! donated to the No on Prop 8 fund, and are decidedly in favor of gay rights). So how about Facebook? Gonna boycott that one too?
It does not matter that you do not pay Facebook. Facebook doesn't make money that way. They make money from ads. Your presence makes them profits, keeps them a strong corporation, which then supports gay rights and gay marriage.
8 AnswersPolitics9 years agodid you know Mitt Romney likes abortion when it makes him richer?
pro-life... unless there's profit involved
13 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWho loves Chief Justice Roberts?
Obamacare upheld as constitutional. The individual mandate lives! Thanks Justice Roberts!!!!!!!!!!
3 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDid you know religious fundie "boycotts" typically backfire?
You know, like when Oreo posted a rainbow Oreo picture in celebration of gay pride day, and the fundies began writing on their wall that they were planning boycotts with their religious right groups and their churches. Since the picture was posted, the official count is 25,000 "likes"... GAINED. Yep, who knows how many "un-likes" they got, but it's obviously paling in comparison to the support from the LGBTQ community and its supporters!
Keep it coming fundies! I'll check with Apple's 94% net profit increases for the year and Google's record $10.8 billion (in 4Q 2011) revenue to see how effective your "boycotts" are! Ha ha ha!
Go ahead, tell me about how bad gays are with your Yahoo! account, Yahoo! openly supports gay rights, and it's founders each personally donated $15K each to the "No on Prop 8" campaign.
Don't forget, every time you log on, search with Google, use your iPhone/Android/PC/Mac, every time you buy from Amazon, eBay, Gerber, or Costco, using your AmEx, CapitalOne, MasterCard or bank with SunTrust or Wells-Fargo, every time you drink Coke or Pepsi, every time you shop at Home Depot, JC Penney, A&F, Americvan Apparel, Liz Claiborne, Sears, Nike, Target, Best Buy, B&N, Gap, or Macey's, every time you buy a car from Ford, GM, Toyota, or VW, every time you fly United, AA, Alaskan, US Airways, Continental or Delta, every time you USE A COMPUTER OR THE INTERNET, you are supporting corporations who support gay rights, donate to LGBTQ groups, hire openly gay employees and have gay pride! So THANKS EVERYONE. Whether you believe in it or not, you support us!!! So unless you live under a rock, THANK YOU!
8 AnswersPolitics9 years agoHow do you get around supporting corporations who support gay rights?
Genuinely curious. For those of you who allegedly don't (I say allegedly, because clearly you do) support corporations who support gay rights, how do you do it? How are you posting on the Internet right now without the use of Microsoft, Apple or Google products? What kind of phone do you use if it's not an iPhone (owned by Apple) or an Android (owned by Google)? Where do you bank and what insurance do you use? What do you do without Facebook?
When I say "support gay rights" I'm talking about corporations with a 100% score on the HRC's "Corporate Equality Index" (http://www.hrc.org/resources/entry/corporate-equal...
BUT let's have fun fact time and consider corporations who went above and beyond that and actually openly voiced support AND donated huge sums to the "NO on Prop 8" campaign...
Apple
Google
Cisco
Adobe
eBay
Intuit
Facebook
and.......
yep, Yahoo!
Really, what's it like to claim to "not support corporations who support gay rights" on a site that explicitly DOES support gay rights? You fundies are a riot!
2 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDo you support corporations that support gay rights?
I saw a lot of bigots complaining on Oreo's Facebook wall after they posted pictures of rainbow Oreos in support of Gay Pride Day, saying they were planning boycotts among their conservative friends and churches. Well I hope those people don't also own iPhones or Androids, drink Coke products, use Google, buy things on amazon, or plan to visit Disney World. Seeing as all of them had to be using a PC or a Mac to write the comments, they automatically fail, but alas, you'll never convince intolerant conservative

I'm treating it like any other day and promoting respect and tolerance for our friends and fellow LGBTQ humans! Also, wearing rainbow socks.
3 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender9 years agoWhy do conservatives vote against their own interests in the name of "job creators"?
I'm a job creator. I hire people like you. I don't ship jobs overseas like the big corporations do. I don't close down small plants and lay off thousands of workers without severance like the big corporations do. I contribute more than all of my employees combined in taxes, and I want to pay more, because what I get from my Bush tax cuts (a lot) does not encourage me to hire more workers, in fact, does not allow me to hire more workers, only start new businesses (which I could easily outsource to India). But Obama's tax cuts for small businesses do--they give me the tools and resources and cuts in the right areas I need to run business more effectively, to expand, and eventually, to hire more people. The ACA does--it lets me hire qualified employees, even if they have pre-existing conditions, and takes a huge burden off my shoulders.
I have conservative employees who assume I'm a Republican because of the amount of money I make, because they assume I'm a "job creator" that "needs" tax cuts. I don't need tax cuts (on my income) to hire you. I need policies that support my business.
Obama's policies are not perfect, but they're working. Things got bad in 2007 and the worst came in 2009. My worst fiscal year ever. But now it's getting better. The construction industry is returning, we're building again, I can hire new employees for the first time in years! My investment portfolio has risen. My income is much much greater.
So why, someone please explain, WHY do conservatives (who aren't owners or directors of big corporations that outsource, because that makes sense) vote against the people who really give them jobs, and security? Why do you want small business to fail?
25 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy do conservatives want america to be fat?
All of my fat Republican friends like to whine about being fat and eating crap food and zero vegetables but then turn around and whine about liberal programs aimed at weight loss, like Let's Move! because they don't think obesity is "a real problem in America." How do I explain that they're wrong, and that they could really use some of the programs themselves?
