Save time! Get your answers to some of the most commonly asked questions here... Could I be pregnant? If you are having sex, yes, you could be. Have a test and stop asking us. Do I like him/her? If you can't answer this one yourself, how do you expect us to psycho-analyse your behaviour and know what you are trying to convey when you don't know yourself? Should I tell him/her that I like him/her? Yes, you should.

  • Possibly a Virus/Spyware or just IE bug?

I am running Avant Browser which I understand is powered by IE. Sometimes a blank tab will suddenly open and then disappear quickly, and my Windows Taskbar then disappears. Most of the time, (I'd say 95%) it comes back in about 15 seconds but occasionally it doesn't come back at all, and so I use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to open Task Manager and Restart my computer.

    When the taskbar disappears:

    - I still have my mouse cursor and can view and interact with open windows.

    - Pressing the Windows button doesn't bring up the Windows Start Menu.

I have run all the virus scans/spyware I can think of: CW Shredder, Rogue Remover, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, AVG AntiSpyware, AVG AntiVirus (in that order, to eliminate any potential threats). Latest versions of all. I am "apparently" virus and spyware free.

    System info

Browser: Avant 11.5 Build 21 (latest version)

OS: Windows XP (Version 5.1, Build 2600.xpsp2.gdr.070227-2254: Service Pack 2)

  • Generic Software for USB Microphone - Please help!?

    Hello,

I bought a Samson C01U USB Studio Condensor Mic for online broadcasting. The sound is beautifully crystal clear and I love it!

However, obviously, being a mic, it is mono and only comes out the left channel. I need to have the signal split across both right and left, but the software that came with it is basically useless.

Is there generic software for USB mics or even a generic sound mixer to replace the windows one, that has options like this for a mic input?

I don't want to simulate stereo or anything complex like that. I just want to have the sound come through both right and left channels.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I have spent over eight hours trying to find a solution to this, and it should be EASY!

  • Why does my "wave" volume control keep going down on its own?

I'm using Win XP and I play a track on Winamp and when the track finishes, my "Wave" slider on my Volume Control goes back down low. I have to turn it up every time a new track plays.

  • Looking for a movie line with the word "travesty" in it.?

    Hello!

Can anyone think of a line from any movie that uses the word "travesty"? It can be used in ANY context. I just want to make a sound file of it (or several of them if there are several to be found!).

    Thanks for any help!

  • How hot are Bell Pepper (red/green capsicum) SEEDS on the Scoville Scale?

I have been trying to find this information online with no success. The seeds I am talking about are the ones in normal capsicums you might have at home (called just capsicum in Australia, called bell peppers in the US).

I know that the capsicum/bell pepper itself has a Scoville Rating of 0, but I am wondering about the seeds.

    Any Chilli fans know this?
