I've developed something of an appreciation for old-timey music lately (for want of a better term), however I dont know very much, i just know I like the style. Im talking the real big band, jazz, crooner, crackly recording type music. The Andrews sisters might be a good example of what I mean. Can anyone suggest any good compilations of popular music from those times? I know ive really narrowed my question down by giving you 4 decades to work with! So i know there wont be a single album that covers these but any suggestions appreciated.

I had a contract put on me in one of the towns and much to nobodies surprise i killed all the attackers, but im wondering if i can show the note to somebody (the guards or the king?) and get the person in trouble?

I was finishing a website tonight (the first ive built from scratch using css primarily) and when i went to validate it i was getting errors which i understood but have now left me in a bind. The main group were where i had a vertical line of images being used as navigation buttons and i was seperating them individually with paragraph. When i validated however it appears that you cant use <p> with <a>. I therefore took out the p tags and used <br/> at the end of each line but now theyre too close together. I would use a double line break but i seem to recall that being quite bad practice.

Can anyone clear this up for me? Is there a CSS method that you use in this scenario instead?

Im doing a small website showing a few articles. I would like to have a link on each page that allows the user to save the article to their computer, preferable using the pop up dialog box.

Basically im trying to make a simple logo with a very basic object in the centre. The problem is the image of the object is actually a photo which looks very out of place in a logo, i would like it to be more stylised and basic, if that makes any sense? Could anyone point me in the direction of a useful tutorial in either photoshop or illustrator to do this?

Im finishing my degree this year and was wondering if anyone is aware of any career pathways in archaeology beyond the obvious, i.e are there any interesting jobs that an archaeology degree could possibly get me into besides academia or fieldwork?

Not sure if ill be able to provide enough info for this question but i was reading a news report recently about how the Egyptian rebels had been following the teachings of a civil resistance book written by an academic in Boston, it was/is supposedly the go to handbook on how to resist an authorotative power without resorting to violence but i cannot remember his name and its driving me nuts.

The only thing i remember is that the bok was split into a certain amount of rules but thats all i recall. Any help appreciated.

Dont get me wrong, im not complaining but i dont really understand what paying is for if they let you use the radio anyway.

Possibly a bit of a long shot but im doing a mock excavation proposal for a site here in Ireland and i've chosen a fairly small site to focus on but while im confident that it requires resistivity and magnetometry surveying i've no idea if a grid is needed.

Have had a green card since i was a kid (which is now expired) because my mother applied for them but circumstances changed and we never ended up moving. To be perfectly honest i dont know a whole lot about them so just out of curiosity i thought i'd ask a few questions on here.

Couple of questions. Firstly, hypothetically were i to renew it, am i even allowed do that seeing as i had my shot and didnt take it? Secondly does having a green card specifically mean i have to be moving permanently to the states? The reason i ask that one is because i hope to live in America for a short period some time soon and i was just thinking whether it would make sense to get a short term visa or see if the green card can help me at all. Obviously if the answer is the green card is only for people who wish to reside in America permanently then i wont renew it because i like where i live and dont want to risk any hassle from immigration.

Sorry for the long winded question, just curious. Any info appreciated.

I came across one before where you could submit stories you had written and people would review them for you but i can remember what it was. Does anyone know any good sites for that kind of thing?

If played through it once but missed a lot of stuff and naturally wanted to start the game again, can i carry over my built up character or am i starting completely from scratch?

What i mean is are there other things that if you cant go back for like the audio diaries amd therefore i should be careful to find them before leaving a level?

Does anyone know any good or famous books about heists or jewel robberies or anything exciting like that?

I'd better make clear im not looking for tips just an exciting, cat and mouse, oceans 11 type story.

Preferably true too, maybe a biography.
